Our guides for rappelling were Tesha and Daniel. Super sweet kids and they KNEW THEIR STUFF! We set out that morning and after a vigorous downhill hike to the waterfall, we experienced some breathtaking views before the actual rappel. It's a little trickier than I thought because it is a different kind of rappel than I had previously done. It was definitely a challenge, but that was the reason my wife and I sought this out.

After the rappel, we made our way up a steep trail (I use the term "trail" generously, LOL), climbed the practice wall and back up the steep trail we came down. Afterwards, we embarked with Tesha on the waterfall trek. Stunningly gorgeous! My wife and I were continuously taken with the views. Tesha was very conscientious about walking us through any areas that could potentially be dangerous. But there was plenty of time for fun too. Jumping off the waterfall, sliding down mossy rocks, slipping into small crevices... I don't want to throw out a whole lot of spoilers so I will keep detailed descriptions to a minimum. But I would recommend Green River Adventures to anyone, anytime!

Just a recommendation, some of this hiking can get a little grueling for those who aren't in the best of shape or have physical limitations. It's definitely not a great thing for smaller kids either. If you think you might have some trouble but still really want to do this, give them a call and talk it over with them. They were extremely attentive and will definitely walk you through the paces to make sure you're ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

Coming in from Chicago with a bunch of older boy scouts, we enlisted in an early morning Whitewater Kayak run not knowing what to expect. With the help of Andy & Chris as our trek guides, these guys helped our scouts rise to the occasion and tackle the Green River without a problem. A great run company that is well organized and willing to work with you for a wonderful experience!

We did the waterfall track with Daniel. Super exciting and definitely challenging. He did a great job of keeping everybody safe making sure we had a good time and challenging everyone's sense of adventure. Our kids are 11 and 13 and did some first time Gorge jumping and rappelling. They were definitely nervous and felt well supported and comfortable challenging their limits.

Great fun for intermediate kayakers. Well organized, efficient, very friendly staff made us feel at home. Guides did great job of making us feel safe. Its a challenging ride physically and mentally and you get a great high when you make it through those class 4's! Don't wear sunscreen (too slippery and the natural trees cover most all the river), DO wear long sleeve rash guards, maybe even wool socks with your water shoes and gloves because the water is chilly even in summer. Don't bring a beginner or anyone scared of water, start with smaller rapids and build up to this trip. Super beautiful to see an unspoiled rive with no houses, trash, or even camping, It was a beautiful thrilling day!

I did the waterfall rappelling and waterfall trek, which is a full day excursion and I highly recommend it. Safety is a priority and fun is not far behind. My guides, Tassia and Daniel, were great and very well trained.
I was lucky enough to be the only person on the waterfall trek and it was amazing with stunning views.
If you like adventure and are open to a new experience, this is the one I would recommend.
Green river has so many adventure options, so there’s something for everyone.

I did the Little Bradley rappel for my 61st birthday. Seth and Brian put any concern I might have had about safety at rest. The were professional and knowledgeable while providing a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Each of them tailored the experience for each individual of our group. Brian provided great ground school training with feedback to improve our new rappelling skills. He also was able to do both assistance with our rappel and the photography duties- covering lots of ground repeatedly. Seth was our driver, leader, and the man who ran the ropes at the top of the falls. I wasn’t scared even one second so that must tell you something!! He was great and watched over all of us with a sharp eye. GRA is lucky to have these two guides and I can see why the reputation is what it is if all the guides are this caliber. I encourage anyone who is thinking about booking a rappel to put any worries aside and follow your adventurous spirit.

I cannot say enough good about our kayaking trip today with Chris and Peter of Green River Adventures. The class one and class two rapids on the Lower Green River trip were challenging and stimulating, but not overwhelming. Peter drove us safely to and from the river on winding mountain roads and expertly prepped the kayaks for our group, helping us get off to a good start on our run. Chris knew the river so well, he guided us like a pro, giving us tips all along the way on the best way to handle each set of rapids, and jumping in with an assist whenever anyone got stuck in the shallows. Even the gal running the office was a pleasure to deal with. The outfit is clearly well-organized and well-run — a perfect fit for our family’s maiden voyage into river kayaking.

Green River Adventures is a fantastic resource for Green River White Water Kayaking. I was travelling with a group of teenagers and was so impressed with the care that the team took of all of us. The check-in and picture process was seamless. I was very impressed that they did not try to gouge you on the prices for the pictures or make each person in the group purchase the package. They gained gained my allegiance, alone, with that policy. However, they had already won a fantastic review from me by the incredible guides that helped us down the river. Nick, Katy and Gibson made the trip incredibly fun! Eventhough, I was the Lucille Ball of kayakers, they were incredibly patient and kind. Even as we were riding on the very comfortable bus to the place where we would start, the team was telling us about sites along the road or asking us about our experiences in their area etc. It was delightful! The kayaking was incredible! The guides were very instructive which is necessary on these rapids - 3's and 4's. However, please do heed their warnings. If you are not in shape, the Upper Green is not for you. They have plenty of adventures, but for this one, you should have the strength to paddle in rough water and be able to carry the raft on your own. It is completely worth all of the strenuous activity! I cannot thank Nick, Katy and Gibson for giving the girls a memory from their Cross Country training trip that they will never forget. Also, get the pictures. Nick, Katy and Gibson stopped at many critical parts in the trip to give us unbelievable documentation of our adventure with them. Thank you Green River Adventures!!!!!

This is my third upper green river kayak adventure and I love it every time! Thank you to our wonderful guides, Cody, Finn, and Josh. They did an excellent job taking us down the river. My 17 yo daughter and 13 yo son did not want to get up early to go but were glad they did after. My 13 year old son was a little reluctant about going but later told me it wasn't scary at all just fun! I was a mix of easy paddling and small rapids with some fun waterfalls. I have done the lower river kayaking before also but i like the upper better. You do have to carry your kayak about 0.6 mi up a trail at the end. I put it on my head and carried it. My son used the buddy system and carried a handle in each hand. It was a workout but fine. They have drinks and beer at the end for you also!

Tesha and Daniel were amazing guides and the early morning hour gave us not only the trail, but the entire waterfall to ourselves. May is an excellent time of year to be here! Our guides were skilled, gave great instruction and made the entire trip super fun. Will definitely come back and bring even more friends next trip! The entire Green River staff was helpful and professional—a seamless process from start to finish. Highly recommend!
