The first thing my husband teenage son wanted to do in York was visit the car museum. They had a great time, spending about 2 hours wandering through the exhibits. The price was fair and the attendant was knowledgeable. Even though the exhibit is not what it once was it is still worth the visit.

The museum has plenty of old cars and memorbillia but the place needs a fair bit of work due to the fact its on the market for sale. Its been let go over the years. Maybe a new owner can bring some new life back into it. It would be a shame to see it close down.

The girl at reception informed me the museum and contents are for sale for 2-3 million dollars. Anything could happen (collection broken up/sold overseas) so see it while you can! Great mix of cars, bikes and motorcycles. Photographs are welcome, so get snap-happy! Worth the $9 entry fee for Adults.

Good variety of cars and motor memorabilia. Since the cars are not roped off you can walk around them and have a look in the interiors. Well presented. There was also a huge collection of models. The entry fee was reasonable and the lady at the information was very helpful and friendly. My favourite? The 1934 MG Airline Coupé Prototype!... More

Went through the museum who recently lost its curator , a nice woman is now running this attraction , I really believe that our men folk I was with enjoyed it more as they are more into cars and their motors , but I did appreciate the work that had gone into preserving these old cars

So many memories in one area. Even my wife enjoyed a look around. Cars that you will remember driving and memorabilia everywhere. Spend a hour or more. Might have to collect your other half from a local bakery if you dawdle

The York Motor Museum is a really good place to have a realxing arvo.I don't think this is the right place for a child unless the kid loves his/hers cars. The cars are really interesting to look at - the style i quite amazing!!

Very disappointing to visit from France, via Perth, to find the place is shut for 'refurbishment'. No advance warning given on any website that we could access. Poor modern communication.
