This has to be one of the best Visitor Centres in WA (and I have visited many of them). The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable .

We signed up for a guided walking tour which took us along the river to the flour mill and then back along the main street (Fitzgerald). Great way for a first time visitor to become acquainted with some of the old buildings and their history.

A big Thank You to the lovely Staff.
I was in Northam recently and was lost.
I was trying to find a few places from TripAdvisor and the lady here was great.
She didn't hesitate to use her computer to show me how to get around Northam.
I wish i had gone here first and not driven around looking for places.

The visitor centre is one of the best buildings almost hanging over the river. It's a great view of the white swans from the balcony. The visitor centre has great postcards of Northam which was a surprise - most small towns don't have postcards of their own town. Great staff and service. Call in here before wandering around Northam. Also a great viewing platform over the river to see the white swans.

Visited centre at 10.30 today (Tues 20/4) expecting it to have been open since 9am, and it was closed - also listed as closed tomorrow! I have never heard of a tourist visitor centre only being open a couple of days a week, and for such a big destination this is just appalling. Was not even able to collect brochures. Poor tourism presence.

The staff in this visitor centre were excellent and very generous with their time. My visit was very late in the day but the staff took the time to source our accommodation options.

We are new caravanners and wanted some advice. Lee was on duty at Northam Visitor Centre and went to lots of trouble to provide us with excellent advice and information.
The centre is beautifully laid out and a credit to everyone.
Lee loves her job and excels at it!

Moving to this wonderful Avon Valley location from the eastern states for work I have attended the tourist information twice now and found the staff extremely helpful, particular young Kate (well relatively young when considering my age - lol).

Managed to have my questions answered, purchased some interesting local products for Christmas presents for family back home and then enjoyed a coffee at the adjoining café, 'Riversedge'. One of the best tourist visitor centres I have visited. Keep it up.

The cafe is attached to this and is the most unwelcoming entrance, with the best view in town! Impossible to tell if it is open or not, this needs a big sweep out and coat of paint. Best view in town, please please use it and promote it!

Called in to check out the local area.
The staff were friendly and helpful. While there we had a look at the display about the migrants who first came to the area and their stories and where they were housed when they arrived.
There was a holding camp that was built on the edge of the town that was their first home until they could be relocated.
There is a cafe and a brand new interactive centre next door ready to be opened that will provide information and artifacts on the local indigenous people from around the district.
