if you are heading here then my advise is to join a long day trip to cover york town, wave rock , hippo's yawn and mulka's cave. If you purely go for the wave rock then there is nothing much to do. Wave rock became famous after someone submitted its photo for publication , thereafter tours and caravans start to... More

After 7 years of wanting to visit this rock finally got here. The photography leads you to believe it's bigger then it is so for me it was a bit of a let down. For my brother who had been told by numerous people it wasn't worth the drive it was much better then he expected. The highlight is definitely... More

Visited the wave rock with a tour group. It was a long drive (3-4hours) from Perth city centre. But the view was worth seeing! The wave rock formation was more spectacular than it seemed in photos. You have to see it yourself to believe it! Also climbed up to the top of the waverock and nature rewarded us with stunning... More

Wave Rock is at Hyden, a farming area several hours by road from Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It's really a rock with some streaks down it. I've seen it, because I had a friend in the area. Most people go on a tour, which is probably the best way to see Wave Rock. There's nothing much else to... More

I wasn't keen on traveling so far to looked at a piece of rock but am glad I did. It looks more magnificent than the photos taken of it. It is beautiful and sort of releasing calmness to its surroundings. We had lots of fun posting funny photos. If you're bored, you can trek on top of it there's some... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our hikes around the huge rock site, exploring the various caves and rock art contained therein.

As it had rained all night it was a bit wet underfoot. Still an interesting experience though. Plenty of walking.

I am a Londoner and read about Wave Rock when I was a kid in the 1960s. I always dreamed that when I went to Australia I would visit this strange phenomenon. Well it took me 50 years (and several visits to Perth) before I finally made it. It is one hell of a drive (for a Pom) from Perth... More
