A Little Bit of Old England

Congratulations to the builder of this stone circle. It was possibly the last thing you would expect to see in this little corner of the world but very interesting.

I am 11 years old and had a fantastic time. It was an awesome experience. I thought I was back in old England with nothing around me but grass plains and the rock formations. It reminded me of a Dr Who episode where The Doctor disappeared into a secret room underneath Stonehenge. Unfornately I didn't find the secret room. The... More

This exact replica of the English Stone Henge from 2,000 years past is a must see. The owners have built this without any financial assistance nor support from the Council or Governments. The solstice is exact for Esperance dimensions exact and just beautiful. I recommend this to everyone who visits Esperance as a MUST see.

Most days of the year it's an interesting (if mildly expensive) 10-20 minute visit. But sunrise for the Summer and Winter Solstaces are pretty magical. The stones are built to line up with the sunrise - just like the real Stonehenge! It's worth braving a brisk morning at least once in your life. Though, you'll have to arrive early or... More

the builder of this structure researched it well and the construction spared no expense. having not seen the real one I would imagine it would not match the ambiance. still very good experience. would reccommend a visit

Sighted as we were passing through along the coastal beach road to Le Grand National park. Not quite the mystical and grand Stoneage original. Did not stop to explore.

Pity - You really do have to walk inside the structure to experience the ambience. More

At half the price this might have been worthwhile. Owners were hospitable and friendly, but the location is a disappointment. You won't get many photos in without cows, wire fences, or the owner's house in the background. Paid the money and I was after something that resembled Stonehenge. For me, the atmosphere was destroyed by the surroundings. It felt like... More

Having seen the original, I thought the idea of a replica (complete) a bit Kitschy. However it has been done quite well. The history of how it came about is interesting and it's worth a stop on the way out to Cape Le Grand National Park. Though probably not strong enough to stand alone as a destination in its own... Having been to the original I was curious to see the Esperance henge. We went early in the morning and the pink granite sparkled in the sun, truly beautiful! The henge is an exact replica and it was amazing to be able to walk throughout the site and read the history of the original henge and the Esperance henge. The... More
