Great service from Denise, she was extremely helpful when we were desperate for accommodation on a booked out long weekend. She immediately rang to find us accommodation when she heard about our issue with our previous accommodation not being suitable. We find all visitor centres are very helpful & Denise & this Esperance Centre definitely fit into the category. Brochures, maps, postcards & small gifts were available.

There were 3 staff members from what I could see. In the whole time I was in the store not 1 of them acknowledge me in any way, no smile no hello no eye contact nothing.
As I was looking thru the leaflets and booklets the whole time they were in conversation about somebody that had lost a lot of weight and gossiping if they had done it medically or on their own. How rude, hope it wasn’t another employee they were calling fat, but being a small town, I’m assuming everyone knows everyone. So if the once fat person reads this, find better friends.
With the highway closed we decided not to come back thru Esperance as you obviously don’t need tourists in your town spending money. And waited it out elsewhere.
Just another day in WA😡😡

I am sorry you had a poor experience. this is no the level of service we aspire to, or the level of service that is normally provided (as can be seen from other reviews). Your comments have been discussed with the staff.

We dropped in whilst attending the last Museum artisan market for the year. Which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The more mature lady was of great assistance to us as we wanted to buy a 5 day pass to Cape Le Grand National Park, thank you.
We haven't been to Esperance in 30+ years so we also got alot of brochures etc that greatly assisted us for other things to enjoy whilst on holiday in Esperance.
Esperance has a good feel and good infrastructure. We really enjoyed our 8 nights there.
Esperance chalet village is the best place to stay, a real home away from home

Without a doubt one of the most boring and unhelpful visitor information centres we have encountered .
Arrived and said we were in town for ten days what did they suggest. A very dull response - ‘ oh there’s the national parks’ . End of convo .
More information and local expertise from our accomodation who recommended eating out places, bread local, tourist drives , Wharton beach condingup tavern all of which were fabulous . Hang your heads in shame Esperance visitor centre - you should be welcoming people to your town not looking at us with distaste and a couldn’t care attitute!

We arrived here at 1.30 pm and the people at the counter couldnt get us out quick enough. I asked what we could do in town and she gave me a map and said everything you need to know is on there. No help to say what to do or where to go/eat. Worst information centre we have ever encountered anywhere. Dont waste your time!!!! You can find more info on the internet

Three women behind the counter today. When we politely asked our question re quickest way from our accommodation to the bus station, we got the feeling we were interrupting. No "can we help you with anything else?" or anything that could pass for enthusiasm, engagement or warmth.
I was surprised to see religious books for sale just above The Countryman newspaper stands at the Visitor Centre, Jehovah's Witness literature I think. I have never seen that at any other Visitor Info centre anywhere.
As others have commented, local people here are friendly and helpful. Some of the shops we looked in were tended by people who gave us good suggestions about what to see and where to eat.
It is 7 years since we were last in Esperance, Esperance itself these days is stunning. Everyone we talked to not working at the Visitor Centre was a delight.

Good place to get information for travelling around town and beyond. They are helpful and able to suggest places and operating hours. Maps are available and souvenirs. In the weekends, a little open air market is held in the grounds.

The tourist info centre make a big point if telling you that Pink Lake hasn't been pink for 9 years but it's very disappointing they don't bother to mention that Lake Warden, which is less than a 5 min drive from Pink Lake is the most amazing shade of Pink and we'll worth a visit to see such a vast Pink lake. Sure it's not called Pink Lake line the one next to it, but it's much better and is actually PINK!

We were disappointed to find the Pink Lake is not pink, and hasn't been for a while. However, the area is beautiful and worth a visit. We loved the beaches. Even on a chilly rainy day it was beautiful. A lot to offer in the area. Just don't expect to see a pink lake.

Went in to get some directions to a local attraction and I obviously interrupted this woman cutting some cardboard with some scissors and I got the short shift and s map hurriedly drawn on and thrown at me and so I left. Not a great experience at all.
