This is a picture postcard photo, and the sculpture itself is brilliant. Take the time to wander around this area.

Public art
May 2021 • Couples
I'm a fan of public art at the best of times so I may be a bit biased. The whale tail is a lovely piece of art taking pride of place on the Esperance foreshore. It's a large piece and stands out - as one would expect of a whale's tail. Well worth taking a close look rather than just driving past.

Lovely piece of art on the foreshore. We didn't make it to the Cindy Poole gallery but this piece of art by Cindy is stunning and in a great location

Nice Sculpture on the Waterfront
Jan 2020
Unveiled in 2014, this sculpture by Jason Wooldridge and Cindy Poole depicts the tail of a Southern Right whale, a common visitor to Esperance during winter months. Certainly eye-catching.

A beautiful sculpture on the beach of a whale tail. The beach and walkway make it a lovely place to stop.

Great walking spot

Free WiFi on the foreshore. Gas’s bbqs and plenty of undercover shelters for a picnic lunch. Skatepark and play areas nearby for the kids

Loved standing and enjoying this amazing piece. It is beautiful and stands proudly on the Esplanade. The detail in the glass work is stunning.
