Had a great trip on the steam ranger. The steam engine was running and it was an absolute delight to step back in time and chug through the bush. The volunteers were all lovely and the whole trip was great. Will definitely do it again...More

Took a train ride in the forest, saw Black Cockattoos and had a nice little walk in the bush trail at the end of the line. Staff very friendly had some great chats.

Could not have had worst weather for a trip in open sided carriage but worth the wetting. Rattling through the bush in a downpour was character building. Volunteers are dedicated and helpful. Good trip for the price.

If you want to cruse slowly through the Natural Australian bush at night in an old rail car from the 1900's while you are served a traditional 5 course Roast Dinner then this is for you. Booking ahead is a must.

We went on the dinner train and enjoyed a very good five course dinner and a glass of port all efficiently served by volunteers in a great atmosphere. It was exciting seeing the edge of the forest by the train forest floodlit. As it was...More

We had a great time on the train today. The windows go all the way down which adds to the experience. I thought at $40/adult and $20 per child it was overpriced.

As far as I know, there is not. There is a South African who builds one-sixth scale steam engines here in Perth. Absolutely fabulous, but the owner of the engines is a mining magnet and it is for her own pleasure and that of... More
