Our social club recently enjoyed lunch, followed by a tour, of the Green River Plantation. The staff and owners were so accommodating, the price was very reasonable, the food was delicious and we all gained so much knowledge of the period. An outstanding day, despite heavy winds and rain. We would all highly recommend this amazing venue.

My agency routinely rents the venue at Green River for meetings and training. Amanda and Rebecca are excellent hosts, providing Southern hospitality at its best. The house is warm and welcoming with adequate seating and clean restrooms. The catering offers biscuits, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and hot lunches. I highly recommend Green River for events and catering.

My daughter was married on September 22, 2012 at Green River Plantation in Rutherfordton, NC. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. The service, food, and accomodations at Green River are outstanding. The owners of the Plantation, The Cantrells made us feel right at home. Very relaxing atmosphere and the beautty of the grounds and home make for breathtaking photography. We were treated like family, not just visitors. The food was outstanding. I had a couple of my daughters friends state that they would like to get married at Green River. Looking for a perfect venue for your wedding or other event, I suggest a ride up to Green River for a visit. You will not be disappointed.

My experience with Greenriver Plantation was very good. The grounds are well manicured and the dressing room was beautiful. The wedding went great, we even had a horse and carriage. The reception after words was decorate beautifully.

We went on the tour of the Green River Plantation today and it was amazing. Amanda Cantrell was a delight. We did not know we needed to make reservations, but she was willing to take the time to give us the tour. She shared a wealth of knowledge and history about the plantation. I would highly recommend this tour...just call ahead to make a reservation!

We were married at Green River Plantation on 9/6/2008 and it was an awesome experience! They offer a full-service package at a very reasonable rate (believe me I checked lots of other places out and none of them compared), from rehersal dinner and overnight stay for the wedding party the night before, to my bridal brunch the morning of the wedding and the ceremony (including my horse-drawn carriage ride) and reception. ALL the food was awesome including the cake! We stayed with them again on our 5th anniversary and everything was perfect again! Amanda and Ellen are great to work with and provide an excellent, worry-free wedding experience!

This for is was a hidden gem only 45 minutes away. Our preordered menu items were hot, fresh and tasty. The tour that followed was most interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

My husband and I had our wedding here back in October of 2009! A wonderful place! Beautiful scenery, great staff, and excellent food!

Have been to several events there and the house and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend for outdoor weddings and other special outdoor functions.

We spent hours learning of the family and the part they had in government. Gold mining, the Civil war and farming. The Quine was very informative and we had a personal tour.
