Everything about Rockford Winery screams authentic, from the original old stone buildings, to the Basket Press still used today, to the quaint, cozy tasting room. The atmosphere is amazing at this boutique winery that hasn't gotten caught up in the mass production of product, but embraces old-style, limited, high quality wine making. If you havent been, put it on your... More

Every visit to the Barossa is incomplete until we spend some time inside the beautiful tasting room at Rockford Winery. Our visit this time, following a flurry of hail and rain, did not disappoint. The staff were warm, welcoming and knowledgable, and the room was toasty with a lovely fire in the corner. Even the kids had fun despite the... More

A wonderful winery that we have been visiting for over 30 years. The quality of the wine is excellent, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the winery itself is delightful. This visit was primarily to attend the long lunch and as usual the food and wines served were top quality. We will definitely be back.

This is a must visit when in the Barossa for the lovely old style buildings and quality wines. The wood fire made us feel cosy as well. The staff explained each tasting in detail and about the wines.

Rockford winery is one of the older wineries in the barossa region and the experience shows. The cellar door is housed in a small stone building and has a wonderful old world feel. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the brand and wine in general. This was a favourite tasting for us, with top quality wines, a warming... More

Delightful ambience and intimate tasting room settings. If you are fortunate enough to purchase the top of the line basket press wines in short supply, please do so. The quality of the wines are so superb compared to the big guys and remarkably well priced.

I have been visiting Rockford religiously for years, as I have enjoyed both their wines and meeting with owner Robert [--]. After emailing a few weeks ahead to discuss our visit and receiving confirmation from Georgia [--], we were promised to be booked in for a tasting. When we arrived, I was totally shocked to find Holly (who served us)... More

The wine we tried here were very different to the rest of valley - more subtle. The staff were lovely and very accommodating even when the tasting room was completely full. On arrival we were surprised by historical little buildings that are well maintained - glad that we visited.

Fantastic little spot, very entertaining man doing the tasting! Only tasted white wines, which were nice. My favourite was the Alicante Bouchet! Well worth a visit.

Be warned this place is popular & can get crowded because they have some of the best wines(particularly the reds!) It was crowded but the staff were still able to provide information & tastings with a smile.
