The volunteer could not have been more helpful. The information sheets and displays were good. The John Riddoch Centre attached is a must to understand the area and its histodlyry! The toilets were clean. Parking at the side was plentiful! And it was wheelchair friendly except for the front step (single) and the Riddoch Centre stage!

Learn more about the early days of Penola and early history of Australia. Great way to fill in the morning before some wine tasting in the region in the afternoon.

We headed to the Info Centre to get our bearings when we arrived in Penola & were so pleased we did. We were given excellent assistance re Mary McKillop, and discovered the wonderful Museum in the old Mechanics Institute, which is part of the Centre. We loved discovering the history of Penola and recommend you start your visit there.

In need of WIFI and directions we found all we had been looking for plus a well appointed small museum on Penola town. Stop and see...it's an eyeopener!

We were staying in Penola over a recent long weekend and whilst taking a long walk on the Saturday morning, we came across the Penola and Coonawarra Information Centre. As we were in need of a little bit of guidance in relation to the local area, we popped in to see what was on offer. The lady behind the counter... More

We particularly wanted the bike routes of the area and you have to ask for it. The museum display was worth going through and make sure you have a dollar or two to donate to keep it going. Otherwise they offer free wi-fi and lots of info in the area and other areas and states. Well worth stopping by and... More

Greeted with a smile an then a load of helpful information. We were given loads of brochures and because we were there during the Penola Arts Festival, we got heaps of info about all the displays, performances and free activities. Lots of displays to showcase the history of the area.
