Excellent Tapas & Wines
Nov 2020
So glad we decided to DROP IN, hubby was a Braves baseballer so of course it was a "SIGN".
AMAZING - on so many levels
FOOD - I could go back just for this, lots of choice, lots of flavour and moreish
WINE - So much choice you will definitely find something you like, if not you can get a beer
SERVICE - One of the very best we visited on our weekend away
PRICES - Very reasonable
Thanks for having us, we will return, Worth the trip, book ahead.

Our favourite winery
Oct 2020
Great wines. For $5, $10 or $25, you can try various wines. We went the middle group and tried about 16 wines or something like that. If you buy some bottles, the tastings are free.
We enjoyed many of them, but loved 3 or 4 in particular.
Prices range from $20 to $150 per bottle.
The staff are welcoming, laid back yet accomodating.

Our favourite winery. And we only have a top two - no others have wow-ed us enough to make the list!

Great tapas & wines
Jun 2019 • Couples
We were told to visit this place by Steinys mettwurst nearby & we were glad we took their advice. Fabulous lunch of mixed tapas paired with their chardonnay went down a treat. Standouts were the calamari & prawns. Lots of seating available inside & out or you can just do some wine tasting at the counter.

Fabulous tapas lunch

Thanks Paris for encouraging our visit today. We tasted wines yesterday (yum) then returned for tapas prawns, arancini balls and caprese salad today. Lots of character here, suits families, couples, anyone who loves somewhere a bit different

Worth visiting
Jan 2019
Wines are good, $5 get you to taste around 15 wines ranging from $20-50 a bottle. Grape varieties not usual which is good.
A $25 fee will get you to taste the expensive range
Friendly personnel that know their wines..

Quirky and great wines
Oct 2018 • Couples
Of course while you are in the Barossa Valley you have to do a wine tasting or two and there are so many wineries to choose from your head spins, even before tasting. We chose First Drop Wines because of the quirky look it had up against all the other grand old wineries. We called in for a tasting only and spent a lovely hour or two there talking to the very friendly staff member who served us. We tried a variety of wines, even a couple of reds because they were recommended to us, I am a white drinker but I did come away with one of the reds because I really enjoyed it. The young girl serving us had a good knowledge of wines in general and particularly First Drop Wines and we found her recommendations worthwhile. We also loved their label design and their novelty bottles. Most certainly a winery to visit.

Barossa delight
May 2018 • Family
Stopped here for lunch and O what a delightful surprise it was, we had tappas and not one unhappy or hungry person after the meal. The staff were amazing and a tad funky which added to the the whole atmosphere with the vintage look and log fire creating a lovely place to sit and relax. Well priced and great sevice means we will return one day.

Great spot for tapas and wine
Mar 2018 • Couples
Great spot, friendly staff and the banana chocolate spring rolls are amazing. Ok still gearing up for more complex coffee (skimmed, soy etc.) but well worth a visit.
