About
Yelland & Papps are for wine lovers and enthusiasts looking for individual, elegant and distinctive wines made in small quantities. Those wanting a connection with a small family winery that are passionate about what they do and hands on with all aspects, practicing old world techniques in a new world way and continually pushing boundaries but respecting the traditions of the famous Barossa Valley. Yelland & Papps is a 1st generation husband and wife team starting in 2005 in the iconic Barossa Valley, using a minimal intervention approach to create elegant, structured fruit forward wines to enjoy in a social aspect or can cellar gracefully for many years to come. Today Michael and Susan own a small vineyard on the valley floor outside of Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley and have two young children, Peyton and Campbell living amongst their Winery and Tasting Room. They do not feel they fit in a winemaking box and do not adhere to rules of whether they are unconventional or traditional,

Love Peyton's Verjus
Nov 2019 • Friends
Our friends booked a tasting at Yelland & Papps - a boutique family winery. They make more unusual style of wine.
One drink we particularly like is Peyton's Verjus made by their pre-teen daughter. We bought 2 bottles for our 2 girls and opened them for Christmas. Our kids loved them & wished we had bought more! Well done, Peyton!

Best winery if you have kids
Oct 2019
Laid back friendly winery that is a great spot to visit after the stuffy Maggie Beers shop. They offer a number of lawn games to keep the kids occupied and they cater well to families.

The tyre swing was a big hit with my kids

Best tasting yet
Sep 2019 • Friends
Myself and my friends booked in for a tasting and honestly was the best tasting yet. Every single wine we tasted did not dissapoint. The wines were like nothing we have tasted at other winerys within the Barossa, all very unique. The setting of the tasting room was lovely, could not fault the experience. Thank you!

Just Lovely

We visited this cute cellar door for a tasting on our bike tour. It is one of the most beautiful in the Barossa! Our tasting room looked like something out of the Country Style magazine and the talk was informative and interesting. The wines were very nice too. Organic and vegan friendly!
The old renovated house, out buildings and garden were very atmospheric.
Don’t miss it.

A hidden gem in the Barossa!

Yelland & Papps was the first winery on our tour of the Barossa last Saturday. A great way to start the day. After a warm welcome, we tasted some amazing wines.... then we bought a couple of dozen! Well worth a visit.

So warm and welcoming
Jul 2018 • Couples
Walking towards the cellar door is like walking through a friendly and welcoming front yard. Lots of lounges and inviting chairs. This is a small winery, been around for a few years but a Barossa baby :) and they have great character and warmth. The wines are very approachable so you will likely walk out with a few!
I highly recommend it and will definitely be back soon!

Yelland & Papps - MyVIPDriver Barossa Tour
Jun 2018 • Couples
A hidden gem voted Barossa Cellar Door of the Year 4 year running, exudes comfort, charm, personability and welcome. Great venue with a rustic, country vibe and passionate friendly owners/staff. Wines made with love and a non rushed approach with a focus on positive customer experience and enjoyment of the product and venue.
