This well kept beautiful little miner’s cottage and garden displays all the trappings of domestic life for most families 150 years ago. A very nice lady volunteer took us through the house, outhouses and garden, explaining things and telling stories of the time. One room...More

Quite an interesting place. Feels as if we have stepped back into time. The kids were fascinated with how people used to lived. There were no tv, fridge etc etc..... made them realized how fortunate to be living in present days.

We had a very informative guide that showed us through the cottage, learn't so much about the early history of Moonta Mines. Well worth the visit!

This should not be missed, the cottage is so authentic, the volunteers so friendly and the garden is really amazing.
