It was so unfortunate that we didn't have more time in the Barossa after visiting this place so we could buy some of their cheeses as there were so many that we could have indulged ourselves on.
Upon entering, one is greeted with that cheese smell and there are several cheeses out for tasting. They were all absolutely delicious.
I'd recommend making this a first stop on your trip to the Barossa in order to be able to purchase and enjoy their delightful produce.

We bought some handpicked rasins from the shop which is pretty nice. Also, it was the first time we tried different tea with different cheese, little tip there is there will be a bit color 'magic' with one of the tea, someting quite new and amazing. Me, my husband and my mum had shared the tea with the cheese, so the food amount is enought for you to taste. And thanks for the girl in the shop, she had gave us the introduction of different cheese and everything was prepared when you orderred, so pretty fresh.

Since we had a late lunch and were not very hungry we decided to stop here and pick-up a Cheese, Cracker and Sausage Platter for dinner to accompany the lovely bottle of Penfolds wine that we purchased next door. The store was a good size with a very nice assortment of cheese and meats. While we waited for them to prepare our platter, we took advantage of the meat samples they had, which included “kangaroo”.

Hi Karen, sounds like you had a lovely visit to the Barossa - we think you might have been visiting Steiny's Traditional Mettwurst by the sounds of that Kangaroo sample! What a delicious dinner you put together. Thanks for your support, Emily

Been a big fan for a long time of the Barossa Cheese Co, and this weekend we had a meeting with the fantastic Ingrid to help us “design” our perfect cheese wheel cake. Cannot rave enough about Ingrid’s fantastic service, offering us tastings and demonstrating sizings and helping us pull a package together including other amazing accompaniments such as quince and crackers. The cheeses are just amazing here, and the other products are worth a look. Even though we’ve selected our wheel, we might need to pop back in for another tasting!!

We stopped here in Angaston whilst on our Barossa Unique Trike tour.
We were invited to try all of their range and advised about the specials of the day, a yummy creamy Brie style cheese.
The Buffalo cheese is amazing!

I recently visited the shop with 5 friends. We were very well received at reception. We all had a platter of local cheeses to taste with a glass of local wine. It was great to see that other local products were available for purchase as well. Can recommend a visit.

This was an accidental find. I popped in thinking they sold coffee (chairs out the front) and discovered cheese heaven! Now I can't drive past without stopping to fill my fridge. From all manner of bries to blues to goat cheeses to haloumy (you can taste them) and a good variety of sliced Barossa meats, you can also find Barossa Bark (bookmark that name) which is the best for eating with cheeses, and a variety of sesame and even squid ink crackers, plus some boutique chutneys and some seriously good nougats. Ok that's all extras, it's the cheeses that get me through the door, but it's a serious foodie kind of place and they make their own cheeses and the service is impeccable. There are a few must stop and shop places in Angaston, and this is definitely one of them.

Just went in and shopped for cheese. Found a goats cheese Camembert and a buffalo milk blue cheese! Who knew these were a thing! Yum ! Both absolutely delicious! Lots of yummy goods to buy here and some cheese boards and knives. Worth a shop, if you like cheese!

Visiting the Clare Valley with a friend from interstate and we drove off to Angaston just to visit the cheese company. I have been here a few times over the years and love coming back. Love that some cheese is made on site and so much gorgeous local product. Always worth the visit.

We stumbled on the Barossa Valley Cheese Company when looking for a map in Angaston.

They have local Barossa Valley info in their store (the blue “i” for information can be see out the front)... but the highlight is obviously their cheese.

The staff were very helpful and accomodating.

Free tastings of their most popular types make it very hard to say no! Needless to say, we left with our Barossa map and some delicious cheese which became the centrepiece of our evening-in platter.

Yum.
