About
A visit to our Wine Room will see our Wine Room Ambassadors guide you through our wines and introduce you to our story. The landscaped grounds framed by the Wine Room and the historic clock tower are the perfect spot to explore before throwing a picnic rug down and enjoying one of our delicious Coopers Board in the Barossa’s warm sun.

Still a beautiful cellar door and grounds, and still excellent wines.
Hasn't changed since our last visit just before smartphones came out. The grounds and cellar door are lovely. I spoiled myself to a tasting flight of The Calley shiraz 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 vintages. Superb but definitely nicer with some age on it. We loved the viognier as well.

    Great day out.
We arrived with a welcome greeting and our table was ready for some wine tasting. Even though we didn’t like the reds as much as whites. All wines are great and the waitress was very informative on the wine we were drinking at the time. The small cheese platter was great as extra $30 and the gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves 100%

A Perfect Choice as a Wine Hopper Stop in Barossa Valley
Historic, upscale, amazing Barossa Valley tasting experience expertly curated by the attentive, informative and hospitable Yalumba staff. This was a perfect stop choice on our Wine Hopper visit to Barossa Valley. The option for a flight of White or Red Wines blended extraordinarily well with the palates of our group. The charcutier plate of cheeses, olives, crackers and thinly sliced prosciutto was a delightful complement to our wines. The Wine Hopper option is the best value for your day in Barossa Valley and Yolumba is a visually appealing and taste bud treat you will not want to miss.

Beautiful grounds and even better wine!
Thank you Steph for such a great tasting flight! She was so funny and thorough, explaining all the wines making it a very fun and enjoyable experience. The grounds are beautiful with lots of photo options, especially with all the original buildings. Loved the wines and the free freight, and we'll definitely be back when we're in Barossa again!

    Great visit!
Beautiful place, great wine and lovely staff ready to assist. It was a nice day so we were able to take a leisurely walk around the grounds. Loved the wine tasting and charcuterie board - it was certainly more than enough for two people for lunch. Great day!

Second time we’ve been here and just as good as previous. Glorious wines tasting at the cellar door. Having 4 wines delivered at once in the bespoke wine racks made from the barrels is a wonderful experience that enables you to taste at your leisure. There is a charge for the flights but it’s redeemable on purchase

My husband and I chose to visit Yalumba for a tour of the grounds and the Signature Hall, as well as to enjoy a tasting and share platter.
Our guide Kirsty was friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us the cooperage and explained how the barrels are made; we walked through some old vats that have been renovated (you have to see it) with beautiful architecture.
The sun came out in the afternoon and it was very pleasant tasting the Yalumba wines lounging on the couch in the cellar door.

We did the behind the Yalumba unlocked tour which is around 2hrs. Fascinating seeing all the old underground vats and how they've been transformed into function rooms and listening to the history of how they were used. Interesting to see the working cooperage area with barrels being made the old way right in front of you. We sampled some lovely wines with an assorted platter at the end. The tour was hosted by Amanda who was perfect in every way - she is very well suited for this role and does Yalumba proud! The grounds are just beautiful to sit in and sip some wine. A beautiful way to spend an afternoon in the Valley, thanks so much Amanda!! Brad & Deb

If you're in the Barossa, this is a must-visit winery! We were lucky enough to be with friends who are locals, so they brought us here. The cellar door is gorgeous and the grounds are so picturesque. It wasn't very crowded when we visited, which was nice - it's probably because this is not a touristy place, and it actually felt like a well-kept secret! The staff are very knowledgeable about wines and the wines themselves are very, very good. If you're serious about good wine, then this is a winery you just can't miss.

We attended the Signature Supper Club dinner on Friday 20th August and had an awesome night.
The wine room was set up like a restaurant and the character of the building made the atmosphere even more special along with the solo singer and off course the great food and staff.
An amazing experience was had by all.

About 170 years ago, Samuel Smith new a thing or two!
Pioneering his new winery in Angaston, Barossa Valley, S A, meant opening up a challenging but enjoyable and interesting venture!

Visit Yalumba Winery / tasting cellar room when you’re in this area, you won’t be disappointed.
A large winery so allow time for visit.
Beautiful grounds / gardens as well as fabulous wines await you.
Admire their lovely old clock tower gracing the grounds, great for photographers and wines!

We had a tasting here on the 20/5 with the lovely Amanda. One of the best taste experiences we’ve had anywhere! Sitting in comfortable couches and being served 4 wines at a time in magnificent timber tasting paddles. That would all be very nice but the wines were also exceptional, especially the premium ones. And then you have the building and gardens. Top notch place!

The grounds and buildings that make up the Yalumba Estate are stunning. So very photogenic. We enjoyed a wonderful tasting during our visit too. Tasted some of their finest wines all the way through to their Signature and Ancestor🍷🍷
Definitely a winery not to miss whilst in the area.

We did the Barossa Reds tasting flight. Our tasting expert was very experienced, very accommodating and and kept us entertained! We all enjoyed it very much. Great Grenache! Our $10 tasting flight paid was deducted off the wine we bought also.

Familiar as we were with The Signature, The Menzies and The Octavius, we weren't so familiar with the winery's other output, so a tasting session was required. Yalumba's cellar door staff were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and well able to keep various parties of wine tasters occupied simultaneously. Of course any wine tasting costs were waived if full bottles were purchased (as we did).
Thank you!
