The Bee Gees hail from Redcliffe and this is a slick & informative tribute to the local legends. It is a long mall length memorial and has a bronze sculpture of the trio plus lots of information on their life & career. One of the monuments has the names of several Bee Gees songs listed and I was interested to find out they actually wrote a lot of songs other artists made famous such as ‘Grease’ and ‘Islands in the Stream’.
It’s in a top location across the road from the Redcliffe Jetty (where the Bee Gees used to fish & look for pennies) so I took the opportunity to walk out along the jetty after learning about the Gibb brothers. The day I visited it was Sunday markets, the Main Street was closed off & there were people everywhere. Next to Bee Gees Way is Pita Kebab & Grill where I sat & ate a felafel kebab & 100m or so down the road I found the Jetty Arcade Hall of Fame featuring famous faces born in or linked to Redcliffe such as Mel Gibson, Geoff Huegill, William McInnes, Andy Gibb & the Bee Gees (of course).

We arrived just as the rain came pelting down, so it was a quick dash from the car park to Bee Gees Way. This is a really wonderful tribute to 'local boys', the Gibb Brothers, who began their amazing and lengthy career, singing at the local speedway. And it was a local identity named Bill Gates (no, not that one) who set them on the path to immortality. The tribute is not at all tacky and very well done featuring a trip down the Bee Gee's memory lane while providing an insight into these remarkable entertainers and their connection to Redcliffe. Naturally, their music plays continually and you find yourself unconsciously humming along. At the Bay end of the walk is a wonderful life-size statue of the boys performing. Well worth a few minutes of your time. Next visit we will try and catch the evening light show.

It is great to see that there has been a fitting tribute set up to honour the brothers Gibb. While not born in Redcliffe the brothers did spend a lot of their formative days on the peninsula and played their early gigs there.
We spent about 39 minutes there reading the wall and looking at photos and watching the video footage. It was all great ( the supposed light show is a bit lame though).
Worth a visit. There is no charge. It is in a laneway in the middle of Redcliffe town.

We did the light show the other evening and loved sitting in the lane watching the old footage and hearing stories from the boys themselves. The oldies loved the bandstand shows as well as the displays. A great laneway on the water.

As a long time fan of The Bee Gees, I wanted to visit this place in Radcliffe, QLD Australia for a long time. Coming from Europe, we said so to our family in Brisbane. That was a nice day trip.
It is really well done. There are audio tapes, various displays, wall paintings/art, and best of all a real life size statue of the band members.
This is Holy Ground for all Bee Gees fans.

We took a visitor to see the displays and watch the screen for the history and to listen to the music. We were really disappointed to hear no music being played and the screen just stuck on BEE GEES. Surely whoever manages this does maintenance to the area or faults get reported.

A simple stroll up and down this dedication to the BGs much like any other exhibit but at night with a simple light show and wide-screen video accounts and very familiar performances along with a decent audio support, it was like a personal concert.

We caught a bus to Redcliffe, after a short trip on a train. The bus dropped us at the seafront. Lots of shops and eateries to tempt you, all manor of different nationality foods on offer. Must admit I did not know this was the place where the Bee Gees grew up. There is a walkway dedicated to them with pictures and stories on the walls telling of their climb to fame, along with a projected film of their music. Long the sea front which is planned very much with family recreational time in mind. There are play areas for children and BBQs for public use, all kept very clean. Also on the front next to a plaque commemorating Capt Cook's voyage is a very large stone which was transported from Whitby (UK) don't ask me why.

Really clever what they have done. A great display and tribute to the Gibb brothers’ past. Two impressive bronze statues and a large range of early photos, with the Bee Gees music reminding us of their many hits.Worth a visit.

This such a great dedication to the Bee Gees. It's a shame that there is nothing in the UK like this. I recommend starting something similar in Chorlton in Manchester. The Oz Bee Gees Way is superb, complete with history, facts and pictures of the band and people that they sang with over the years. There's something to interest everyone here, not just hardcore fans.

Is the Bee Gee way open or closed for renovations?
Written July 12, 2015
Temporarily closed from 4/5/15. The MBRC advises that :
Bee Gees Way
In Redcliffe during the late 1950s, three young brothers gathered around a microphone and for the first time performed using a name now famous around the globe.
Bee Gees Way temporary closure
Bee Gees Way will close temporarily from Monday May 4, 2015 to enable construction to begin on a new shade shelter and other enhancements to the walkway.
Barry Gibb to return home to Redcliffe
The Moreton Bay Region's iconic Bee Gees Way is currently closed for the construction of Stage 2 ahead of Barry Gibb's return home later this year to re-open the popular public walkway that honours the world-famous super group.
Refer to Moreton Bay Rgional Council website under Bee Gees Way
I am in Europe now hopefully will not miss the celebration and Barry Gibbs return home in September...
