The fact everyone comments on the traffic lights as being better than the statue probably says it all. Small, understated and not very showy at all - a bit like the character and the author. When we visited, building work hoardings were the back drop....More

If you are visiting Maryborough take the time to see the Mary Poppins Statue and check out some of the Walk and Don't Walk signs with Mary Poppins lights
