go there!
Apr 2021
If you are looking for the best place to stay with your caravan/tent or Van overnight, go there. Really lovely property, kangooroos and animals everywhere and the best view into the hinterland and towards the ocean as it is on a mountain.

only 25 a night for two people, and all of the money gets spend on the sanctuary, the roos and for medicine of the animals and people that dont have access to those expensive medicines.

Its a quiet magical place

Best camping in the area!
Nov 2020 • Friends
Had the best time camping here. Was very cheap ($12.50 per person I think) and the site was beautiful. So much wildlife, kangaroos hopping past the tent etc. The facilities were good and always clean too. Amazing views for both sunrise and sunset! The owner, Garry, was lovely and really took great care of the animals. He was happy to let us come to his yard and pet the animals- he had an amazing bird too that sat on his shoulder. It’s clear him and his wife have a real love for animals and passion for what they do. Would recommend!

No kangaroo feeding
Jul 2020
The kangaroo feeding is no longer happening. The owner told us it is finished indefinitely, due to there being a lack of international tourists. We couldn't find information anywhere about the feeding, even tried calling 3 times but the line was engaged, so we went to ask. The owner made it clear that we weren't welcome and ranted a little about how he hates Australians and that humans are poisoning themselves by eating dairy. Very uncomfortable experience! There were heaps of kangaroos there, and some people camping, just don't go for the kangaroo feeding.

Best spots for camping and kangaroos
Jun 2020 • Friends
Amazing camping with a so peacefull lookout and environement. The toilets and kitchen are very clean and in good conditions. The owner is funny, easy going and very respectful of the environment and the kangaroos. If you want to see and have pictures with the kangaroos. It's the best place for it ;). The price is very cheap. Thanks again Gary for your warm welcoming and your generosity.

Great place!
Mar 2020 • Couples
We arrived for one night and immediately decided to stay for another night. Eventually we stayed 5 nights. It is such a stunning place on a hill with all the animals (kangaroos, peacocks, chickens, loads of beautiful birds) and the view is just breathtaking! We asked Gary the owner if we could volunteer for some days so we don't have to pay for the campsite. He offered us to work in the mornings so we had the rest of the day off. We both really enjoyed working and being here. Gary is a special person yes, but we all are. We did get on really well. You just have to be little bit openminded for his chats :) he is such a good person!

Cool Kangaroos, strange owner
Feb 2020 • Couples
It is a great experience to feed the kangaroos and get so close to them. The guy who runs it gives a very strange talk. 50% about kangaroos 20% about the health benefits of drinking your own urine and 30% strange conspiracy theories. Not sure if the kangaroos are worth the crazy talk.

Great fun, if you wear headphones!
Feb 2020 • Couples
Positives- A fun experience feeding the roo’s and being able to see them so up close.... that’s about it.

As other reviews have stated, the owner Gary has clearly watched one too many conspiracy programmes. His holier than thou approach to public speaking was unnecessary which such rubbish as ‘we could live to 200 if we didn’t eat meat’ and how ‘drinking your own urine’ was good for you. (It’s been scientifically proven that this isn’t true)

It was obvious we weren’t the only ones feeling awkward because of his verbal garbage judging by the looks of other visitors. His borderline racism was also prevalent when referring to ‘those little Chinese people’ killing Australian animals.

The description on the website is very misleading as it suggests you’ll learn all about how the roo’s are looked after and being shown around the site. This isn’t the case. You arrive and walk 20 seconds onto a patch of sand where you feed the animals and listen to what he believes to be the second coming of Christ.

Just few words of admiration for this dedicated man that sacrifice his time money to look after all this wild life we visited the park as part of the Kanga Tour I think the cost is around $10 as stated outside bit we didn't pay as it was part of the tour. Bet her by 3.30 pm as it only opens for one hour. Moreover you can stay overnight camping.
