We had a lovely day walking the Red Rock Walking Trail for an hour each way then taking the 4WD road into Deepwater National Park to visit the three beach areas, two of which have associated camp grounds. Flat Rocks was an interesting rock formation and all the coastline was beautiful with sandy beaches. You can access Flat Rocks and... More

Easy 4x4 tracks to negotiate. Three great locations to explore. You can camp there but must gain a permit. Great beaches to explore.

A lengthy drive through the National Park with the road close to the beaches and easy accesses. Beautiful remote beach scenery and bush driving.

Did a jaunt through the national park on the 4x4 track Was an easy going mostly Sandy trek through the sub tropical forests where you can stop at three beaches Had a great time and saw no one else the whole time so felt even more exciting to explore, always fun to put you footsteps first in the sand at... If you are the type of person that likes 4x4-ing in the middle of the untouched Australian bush then this park is for you. If you are not - just like me - get someone to take you there and sit back and relax whilst admiring nature at its best.

We've lived in the Gladstone region for nearly 12 years and this is our first time to this wonderful National Park. We camped for three nights at Wreck Rock (according to fellow campers and our camping guide, this was the pick of the campgrounds). There were about 14 campsites and we arrived late Friday afternoon. The majority of the sites... More

We walked along the beach to Red Rock it was stunning on the way we had a swim and also saw about 6 turtles grazing near the reef. We met our friends who had walked from Springs beach to Red Rock. We had our lunch on the beach. The track from Agnes Water to Deepwater if well maintained.

Access to the park from Agnes Waters is via a good sandy (4WD) track that links Flat Rock, Middle Rock and Wreck Rock camping areas with the Baffle Creek access road. Patches of lovely temperate rainforest are found along this track, but mainly it is more open bushland. Passing areas on the track are available at intervals, but you may... More
