An easy walk from the carpark gets you to the tower. The real scenery happens 50 metres away at the look out. The blocked path down the closest lookout is worth going around to see the incredible rock and magma intrusions of this coast.

Such a great place to visit to get a better understanding of the man and the legend Ben Boyd. This is one of the last remaining legacies of a bygone era.

While you can't go inside the tower, it gave a real sense of the history of whaling. The local walks around the tower were great. And there is a fascinating whorl in the distant rocks that shows how the earth's crust was folded in ancient times.

Just a short walk from the carpark and there is a viewing platform for some bay views if you follow the boardwalk after the tower.

Short walk from the parking area and you get to experience this little piece of history for yourself. Tower itself is in great condition on the outside, noting that the internals are missing so climbing to the top is not possible. Make sure you walk right around the tower and spot the iconic "Boyd" name plastered across the top. There... More

Not the most sparkling day when we went there but you could tell that it would have been spectacular on a beautiful day. I just loved the stone work of the tower and the craftsmanship. well worth the detour off the main drag

A great little walk to the spectacular panoramas of the bay and beautiful Devonian rock formations of the south coast. Pity about the Parks fee for such a short walk.

Not a lot to see in the actual tower but beautifully built. Great views across to Eden and great views out to sea. Lots of photo opportunities using the tower windows.
