Enjoyed a pleasant stroll around this site, hilly due to steps but could stop and take a breather and carry on.

Hola!!!!
I live in Lloret de Mar and I write to correct the title of this picture.
In Lloret there are 2 castles: The one that appears on every postcard popularly called "d'en Plaja", built in 1936 by a businessman in the world of cookies (not a medieval monument!) And the castle of Saint Joan of the century XI, whose chapel was consecrated in 1079.
I add the correct picture of the Castle of St. Joan of which currently there are only archaeological remains and a tower that was rebuilt in the twentieth century. If you want to visit is right at the other end of the beach of Lloret.

When to this castle but didn’t make to the top when we started to walk up to the castle there was two me in there 30s watching and waiting for tourists and we was followed when I noticed we turned back and they started to walk back then stopped they was definitely up to no good so we didn’t risk the walk up mainly due to the path being very narrow and having sheer drops and if you was attacked/mugged you would have no chance if you visit which is stunning be aware of your surroundings and the people

We walked from Fenals beach, up a couple of hundred steps to get to the castle. It costs €3 per adult and children are free. There's not much to see as far as the castle goes, only the keep remains with stairs inside to reach the top. The views are lovely from the top, my 6 and 10 year old loved it! We walked back down towards Loret main beach which was a winding path with lots of stairs. We passed a bronze sculpture of the fisherwoman on our way down which we hadn't expected! All in all it was quite a hike but really enjoyable with awesome views

A long climb up the cliff path and not for infirm but well worth the effort for the view alone. Not much in the castle and another climb up to top of restored tower but stunning views again from the top.
For those not fancying walk up cliff paths take the road which is a lot easier.

A tough climb to get there, three euro to enter the tower which has been restored, the views are amazing from the top.
