More than worth the 2 € you pay to enter this church full of old paintings and plenty of other pieces of religious old art.

Beautiful old church near the Port of Trapani, an easy walk. Getting it all in a picture is tough with the streets. Lots of highly decorated roof panels & detailed marble components with the eight pointed stars. Very interesting.

The church was free to enter. There are clothes restrictions to enter, shoulders must be covered and knees covered etc out of respect to the church. Stunning architecture.

I'm not a believer, but do like church history and buildings. Not a fan of Catholic churches generally as find them over decorative and often dark and oppressive. But this one was a gem. TheRe is a lightness inside that is a joy to behold....More

Our short visit in the town has included this site and we did not regret. Impressive building located in the heart of the city. Many places to relax in the street which is in front of the cathedral. worth a visit.

Looked very grand from outside but we were unable to gain access. Walked all around but no doors open. Sorry TA and readers, bit of a waste of time really.

Took a detour from my route thru Sicily and stopped in Trapani just to visit Cathedral of San Lorenzo since I heard it one of the oldest here. Walking in seemed like walking in to any church of this caliber as I experienced the awesomeness...More

The Trapani Cathedral, although very pretty in its own right, to my untrained and un-Christian eye, looked like any other Cathedral that can be found in all the countries of Europe. What made THIS cathedral particularly interesting to me, a Jew living in Israel, was...More

This is the major church in Trapani, located in the very center of town and on the nicer and more elegant street. The church has a massive and rather nice facade of neo baroque architecture. It is rather bare and less interesting inside.

This is the main church of Tranpani. It is large, and interesting, while not being excessively decorated. The porch of the church is quite lovely.
