Great beach. Even with a little northerly wind, it offers play with the waves.
It also has an entrance for the disabled.
The canteen's tactic in sorting customers is a unique discrepancy. Those who will eat have a table and will probably have a bigger bill. The rest will find the wall of supposed reserves!

A pretty little beach: on one side a few tamarisk trees (arrive before noon), on the other a beach equipped with a few spaced out deckchairs, at 25th per set. The beach is quite wide but not very extensive, enough to have space. And a little restaurant that's just perfect, quiet, without loud music, with a varied menu, very reasonable prices, board games available for strolling in the shade....

Plathiena club is one of the few beach clubs in Milos with sunbeds and umbrellas service on the beach.
On the island it is rare to have the opportunity to spend a day comfortably lying on a deckchair and have a tavern to eat in.
The water is beautiful, there is a lot of algae, but the colors of the rocks and the vegetation around make everything pleasant.
The restaurant serves simple but rather mediocre food, all of which is disarmingly slow.
It's a shame that the proximity to the port makes this bay a sort of transit area for fast ferries

Beautiful beach, in a protected bend. It looks like a pool of a beautiful blue color. Small beach bar that also manages umbrellas and sunbeds at the lowest price on the island. Try it out.

Beautiful, clean water but no chairs! The beach is a little challenging to get to and parking was limited. However, there was no charge for the stationery sun shades, you just will be sitting in the sand. They have a cafe with beer, sodas, food, etc which made it nice. There was a changing room on the beach as well. Getting in the water, there are rocks but then gets shallow and sandy. My recommendation is to bring swim shoes or float over the rocks and then stand and walk out. Plenty of room to spread out on the beach and enjoy your time. Would recommend going early!

Nice mokto place until lunchtime. Then it starts filling up and people mwttore their sheets everywhere. Beach service with waiter. Parasol place at a cost of 25 euros. Tavern with several well-stocked lunch dishes, sandwiches, ice cream.
If there's no wind, it's a little hard to last all day because the cove is too sheltered.

I update information from a previous review to get Plathiena from Plaka by foot.
To go down from Plaka (turn left after PALAIOS pastry and before the road going up to the castle) is very easy and not tough at all; first follow a path with stones (many plants on the way but around 15 minutes), then a normal road and I took half an hour. To come back (I took instead 45' minutes) the first part it's okay while the second is a bit harder but you can do that. I did at around 14.00/15.00 p.m. and I mean don't forget to bring with you water.
Great landascape with red stones and the blue spot of Plathiena in the distance.

Very nice scenery, easy access, shallow beautiful waters, as long as it doesn't blow! We achieved it with apnea and had a great time. It has shadows of trees and an organized place with umbrellas. Also very good café- restaurant that after the bath everyone goes and it becomes a waste. Considered one of the best beaches of Milos. The only minus is that they often pass near the ships and raise waves for a while.

Small parking so we recommend arriving early
Possibility of umbrellas and sunbeds (we could not find a hole already at 10:30).
Beach however with some shade under the trees.
Slightly dirty in the morning but given the strong wind in the afternoon rough sea is cleaner.
Several children present on the beach who enjoyed the waves (not exaggerated) that formed the sea with the wind.
Very shallow seabed per km.
Take a bar where you can have lunch and rest for a few hours of “aperitif” in the shade in the hottest hours

Cette plage est-elle accessible à pied depuis Plaka ? Nous souhaiterions y aller pour notre premier jour à Milos mais nous n'aurons un quad que le lendemain. Merci pour votre réponse
