In this summer vacation my parents and I went to visit the Tiancheng Temple Pagoda.

Chengtian Temple is one of the famous historical sites in Ningxia. The garden is not very big, take pictures around, a lot of things are worn out, but it is still good to take pictures, after all is history or suggest to visit, the price is really too much value.

Three hours is recommended . Chengtian temple in the ancient city of Yinchuan in the southwest, there is a famous temple called Edward Temple, temple in the middle of a towering clouds Guta, is Cheng Tiansi tower, known as the "West tower".

The air is fresh, and it is suitable for traveling in all seasons.

The West Pagoda complex is a short but pretty spot in the city. The sight is well managed and very well manteined.

The entry ticket and tower tickets are sold separately. I did climb the tower, which was enjoyable but is difficult for older and less limber individuals as the stairs are steep and narrow.

I had the unique experience of being the only person in the top of the pagoda when I visited. I have never, ever been alone at a tourist attraction anywhere in China, and it was beautiful and calm. The gardens around the pagoda are pleasant enough, but the views from the top are definitely the highlight. I enjoyed my visit.

Very peaceful place, small garden around the pagoda with entry of ¥5 and extra ¥20 to climb the very steep steps up. Quite nice vieš of the city from the top :)

A small beautiful garden secluded behind high walls in the heart of Yinchuan. A time for peace and quietness. The climb to the 11th floor of the tower is not worth it. The stairway is poorly maintained and the top floor full of graffitis. The view from the top is disappointing to say the least.
When you get off the premises you are a shot away from the antics market which is worth a look (although overpriced copies of just about anything do prevail in most shops)

Practical note: although its in the centre of the block you need to enter by the gate on the east side

Pleasant place to get some quiet in the city and look at the old buildings and gardens. When I went there it was pretty much deserted, which makes a pleasant change from many similar sites I've been to in China.
On the negative side, there's no explanation of what anything is. And bits of it are suffering disrepair.
But overall a pleasant place to sit and think, or wander around. Entrance price is only 5 kauai.

The gardens made it a very relaxing location. Peaceful, nice architecture, plenty of restrooms.

And then there was the pagoda itself. Have sturdy legs and no fear of heights. Being a narrow structure meant steep steps that required side-stepping. The view was nice and it's rewarding to claim you made it up. (I'm comparing to other pagodas with that comment.)

This place is ok to see but nothing special. We stopped by and left after like 10min. Entrance fee is not high, so it is ok to fit in if you have some time to kill.

The over 1000 yrs tower is a nice visiting place. Entrance fee only RMB3. If have to go up on tower another RMB15. For me, just go to the park to enjoy the quiet moment is fine enough.
