Interesting architecture and a nice walk along the street, but the shops are all selling similar suveniers or food. Worth visiting and prices are moderate. However, the street view is beautiful

Its a good market to observe the chinese culture. We struggled a bit for vegetarian options for food but overall a nice decent bazaar. Ramada plaza is right in front of the street.

Just a short 60m from my hotel, mercure. I visited it at around 7pm 5°Celsius 13th Dec. Estimated 20%of shops were closed. Most of them selling local delicacies eg biscuits, sweets, restaurants, arts etc. Nice to stroll along dongguan jie (0.5km) without the crowd.

The various food stands and shops are interesting cavalcade of characters trying to sell their wares. The interesting shops...More

Street has a number of tourist shops and eateries. Went in the morning as that is when we were doing it. However was still well worth it.

It is a popular tourist attraction, but it isn't too crowded. A lot of small local shops, if you don't speak Mandarin or the local tongue, I would suggest a guide or translator. As we found ourselves not buying a lot, but speaking with the...More
