Gabby was the perfect tour guide! We had a small group and she made sure that we did everything we wanted to do smoothly in this one day that we had! She knew her way around very well and even showed us her favorite hidden spots. She is incredible friendly, kind, and an amazing person! It felt like we were having fun with a friend for these two days. Blessed to have made a new friend in ZJJ, and would only say the best things about considering Gabby as your next Zhangjiajie tour guide!

My tour guide was Dragon. Yep! That’s his English name! LOL. The tour was amazing! Dragon don’t speak English much but we have smart phones and we used wechat and translation apps. It was great. The mountains are mysterious. It was very foggy when I was there but the fog added mystery and magic to the scenery. Hunan became my favorite China province. I will come back one day on a different season because I also want to see how the mountains look without the fog. Fenghuang Ancient City is so spectacular! You have to stay at least one night in the city so you can roam the city and hangout in one of their music clubs and feel like you are 21 again. So fun! My guide took care of me and made sure I went off safely to my next destination. I highly recommend this tour and ask to have Dragon as your private tour guide.

I booked through Venus and had Shirley as my tour guide. I only had one day to do the park and I’m so glad I booked these guys. First stop was Yangzhazhie part - going up in a cable car and then lots and lots of walking (including some very narrow passages). This area is great - it has awesome views and far fewer tour groups than the other sections. After that we went and joined the masses at Yuanzhajie - which is a must do as the views here are spectacular. The walking in this section is much easier. We had lunch here first and then did the trails with spectacular view so of rock formations. From Yuanzhajie we went to the Bailong elevator to descend and then for a walk along the river - although if you’re tired you don’t need to do this whole path. We did a short section - the river has lots of tourists in it (!) and lots of crowds feeding the monkeys then wondering why they got bitten!
I would definitely recommend this tour. Shirley was a great guide and also knew how to just keep one step ahead of the tour group timings so you don’t end up in huge queues for shuttle bus or elevator. Thank you!

We are a group of 7 people traveling to Zhangjiajie for the first time. At first, we are trying to arrange a trip by ourselves since some of us can speak some Chinese. However, our group is not that small so we think that a private guided tour is a good option for all of us.
We start planning by searching through the internet and found may plans. The plan to Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang seems most suitable for is. So we start contacting several agencies.
Venus helped us a lot during the planning. We also booked for a private transfer from the airport to Zhangjiajie. This saves us a lot of time comparing to the public transportation. We also ask her to book hotels for us. The recommendation is great is the price is also reasonable. The itinerary is so neat and detailed.
We spent 2 days in the national park, 1 day on Tianmen mountain, and half a day at Fenghuang. We booked the lady fox show and a show in Fenghuang in advance.
Amy is our guide for 4 days. Due to the weather, the queue in the park, she can adapt the plan accordingly. On the very first day, we found a cultural show near our hotel and ask her to book tickets for that night and she could make it for us. She helped us find good local restaurants for every dinner and stayed so late to accompany us during a night walk (we may trouble her a lot).

It’s my first time here. The weather is lovely. I enjoy walking around so much. My Tour Guide, Amy, is excellent. She customized the schedule to suit to me weather to walk all the way or to go by Cable car is my choice. Here I got some problems with people speaking English but the tour guide helps me a lot for my entire visit. I would recommend the tour if you need to save time in order to cover all the area as much as you want in short time or to get the better path to get to each area in each day as well.

The most intreresting of Zhangjiajie's siteseeing is:Tianzi Mountain, It is famous for the movie "Avatar", also the local food is delicious, Venus is so familiar with the local restaurant,she intorduces the dishes" three kinds of meat hotpot" is my favorite one,the fresh air can fresh my head, bright my eyes and cheerful my mind in the mountain. I'm surely will visit Zhangjiajie for the fourth time.

I recently went to Zhangjiajie as planned by my friends. They made the arrangement of a private tour. It turn out that the tour guide they hired did a great job in gave us a great experiences with this trip. Her name is Amy from Discover Zhangjiajie Tours. I am not sure what her last name was but she was very patient with us. She also know the best spot of the trip for us to see and visit. She communicated with us in English. The sites we visited were great in my personal view. If you want to visit Zhangjiajie and need a privae tour guide, Amy will be a good chose. I have a good experience with the guides she provided. If I remember correctly, Amy can be reach at Tourvenus@hotmail.com.

I booked the tour and was pretty excited for it but was than given noticed that the day I paid for was no longer available. I ended up going to the Tianmen Mountains alone without a tour or guide and did the same itinerary, you don't really need a tour for the mountains unless you have kids or are with elderly members just to accommodate a more comfortable path. The price was good for the tour though which is why I had booked it.

I did the 2-day package (booked directly with the company), and they were able to create the perfect package for me, with everything included (being picked up from the airport), all necessary transportation, and a tour of the park and Tianmen mountain and a cool hike on the second day.
It was spectacular to see it in December - good weather and not many people. Highly recommended, and for what it's worth, I never book these sorts of guided tours for anything, except this, and I felt that it was actually quite worth it. The bus network within the park has signage only in Chinese, and being driven and having your itinerary made for you was pretty helpful.

We spent two days exploring Zhangjiajie National Park. We chose not to visit Tianmen Mountain and instead devote the full time to Zhangjiajie and our guide, Esther, was more than happy to accommodate us. She was knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and determined to make sure we were satisfied. Originally, I didn’t want to book a guide, but simply explore ourselves. But I am so glad that we did! Esther made our visit that much easier and smoother and supplied us with information and explanations that we wouldn’t have found out or had on our own. I highly recommend visiting Zhangjiajie and booking Esther as your tour guide.
