We did not go inside the temple but we walked around the gardens and then down the stairs on the outside wall of the tower.
We still had a good view from the garden below which had a huge bell in the center.
It's ok to visit if you have time to kill but it's not worth paying the entrance fee as there is nothing much about the building. There is a short 3D movie included and it's about the ancient warriors, one of it is Guan Yu....More
Not an overwhelming site, but a pleasant walk. Some good vistas and interesting photo ops. The tower has pictures of old Changsha leaving you to marvel at the many changes since.

Probably not really worth the price of admission. But it's something to do if you are in Changsha and have time to kill. Was interesting seeing the old city walls. The 4D movie that plays every hour was lame.
This is a nicely kept historic site. There are plaques telling about the history, some are in English but most are not. If you can't read Chinese this is more of a place to enjoy all that you see rather than expecting to read about....More
