Awesome farmers market!
Jul 2021
This is an amazing farmers market. We do not have anything like this near where we live. We have a basic, small town farmers market here. My wife and I stopped by while we were in Raleigh to check this place out. Normally its not somewhere we'd visit but we were passing by and it was so massive we decided to stop. I've never seen so much produce! It was so awesome, they had everything. We had a flight the next day for 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic so we couldn't purchase anything as it would spoil in our car. However we plan on making a 2hr drive back to Raleigh from VA within the next month just to visit the farmers market. We will definitely be stocking up. This was a great place and I can't wait to return.

Nice selection
Jun 2021
Great selection of fruits and flowers. We bought a few plants and some blueberries. There are lots of vendors and the prices are competitive.

We love this farm market
Jun 2021 • Family
This market is worth stopping in if you are in the area. Local produce available from dozens of farms, as well as meats, seafood, canned goods, nuts and craft items. Live plants and trees were available this time of year, and fresh wreaths and balsam trees around the holidays. Vendors are friendly and willing to answer questions. Bathrooms also available.

Great time to try different things or just window shop

Been many times. Plant vendors are some of my favorites. Many many different types of plants. Then there’s the vegetables - I’m always buying something.

Then the food - fried fruit pies to gluten free African fried dough (think doughnut holes) - get the secret sauce on them.

Then there’s the cut flowers - just beautiful!

Plan for a couple hours - take your time. Well worth it - I’ve taken my kids and at other times a girlfriend.

Two restaurants on site - one is seafood (mostly fried) and the other is country cooking - both worth the stop as the food is really good!

Freshest Fruits and Vegetables!
Sep 2020
Many different NC farmers peddling their finest fruits and vegetables. Most vendors offering free samples. Great seafood restaurant on the grounds.

Nice stop after being on the road for a while
Sep 2020 • Couples
Convenient parking. As soon as I opened the truck door all I could smell were fresh scuppernongs so I immediately bought some along with other fresh goodies. We ended up with fruits and veggies as well as some delish baked goods. Some of the shops were closed due to COVID, but enjoyed checking out the others. I found a gentleman making lemonade that was the best lemonade I’ve ever tasted. Hubby and I stopped by the seafood restaurant which was a nice little hidden gem. My only regret is we didn’t stop by the section with the outdoor pottery and metalworks. We simply were too tired from our trip.

Great place to Visit
Sep 2020 • Couples
This is a good place with lots of variety. One building has pottery, metal work, wood working, pictures antiques, etc. Another has canned and various food goods. The third has lots of fresh vegetables. Would lo e to go here again when we are in the area. Didn't have time to eat at the seafood restaurant

The State Farmers Market Restaurant
Jul 2020
We did the State Farmers Market Restaurant. My wife has been here before and recommended it for the family to eat here. We did put in our name and had to wait over hour to eat. This was on a Friday lunch time. Over all it was still great. Has that farm feel eating restaurant. We had a very good waitress, the food was excellent. Service was good too. I don't know if they take reservations? Just to say I still recommend this place, and will return when we come back to Raleigh, NC. Because of the COVID-19, we did not walk around the Farmer's Market.

Great Visit to Farmers Market-Well Done for Covid-19
Jul 2020 • Couples
Went to farmers market on Monday morning at 8:00am and most stalls weren't open. Came back Saturday at 9:00am fearing the rush and madness and was well pleased with way they had it laid out for Covid-19. One way walk ways, almost everyone wearing masks, and hand sanitizers several places. Most people were actually social distancing well. Really like the way laid out with stalls in entire center area and walkways across instead of the usual stalls on sides and just mass of people in the middle. Felt as safe as you can be in that environment. Good job Raleigh!!!
