Lots of sellers of fresh vegetables and fruits. Believe all had samples. We purchased peaches, watermelon and corn on the cob. Yum. Everything was tasty and fresh. No comparison to the horrible items purchased in a grocery store. Only problem was parking. Took a while to find an open parking spot so we could park.

We love taking a visit up here for fresh produce, often, we are only able to drive on the weekends, but the Farmers Market is large and always has plenty of options. The vendors are courteous and truly understand their produce and the market they are selling in. There is also a very large plant and flower section if that... More

You can't walk 2 feet without one of the venders offering you a sample of their goods .All are proud of their farms & tell you where they are. A great place to grab a bunch of "FRESHNESS" & take it home and enjoy the bounty!!

Stopped by here to purchase my favorite vegetables and everything looked just picked. I enjoyed the friendliness and efficiency of the sellers. There is so much here to see and enjoy. They have North Carolina products for sale. Do try the Bone Sucking BBQ sauce, it's delicious. There is also a restaurant which I have eaten in before as it... More

The breakfast was like being at home with mom's cooking. I would recommend the granny sampler breakfast. You may not eat it all but you get a little bit of everything.

Wonderful experience at the state farmers market. So many local farmers and growers available to sell. Fruits, vegetables, flora, baked goods and soooo much more. So friendly and the atmosphere is very family oriented. You see entire families working the vendor stalls selling and restocking. So lovely. Whether you want to purchase groceries for dinner or pick up a few... More

We recently took guests who were from Iowa, Illinois and Georgia, all agricultural states themselves, to shop at the Farmer's Market for sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches and other produce in season in July. Those of us who live fairly close can take this wonderful market for granted but our guests were very impressed. There is such a range of produce... More

There is such a selection here in one location! I love the many samples allowing you to try out new foods and speak to the vendors for advice. It was exciting to find a vast selection of fresh local seafood at LOCALS SEAFOOD. I found shad roe here, something I have not had in years. Steve & the other staff... More

Very nice and big. I only went for the vegetables so I don't know what else if anything else they had to offer. There was a large variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and plants to select from and all looked good. It was nice to see the area was covered so you weren't in direct sun. I didn't like the... More

The State Farmer's Market is a compound that includes an open market area under a roof. Once there, rain and hot sun are not a problem for that reason. Beyond the open market is a market building where merchants have some produce but mostly jams, jellies, soaps, honey, cold drinks, etc. You're likely to find a pepper jelly, pickled melon,... More
