My grandfather in the Outer Banks (which we gangstas call it, da O B) passed away and we were looking for someone who could carry out his final services with dignity. We came here because we were told this is where you can find the grave digger. Unfortunately, there was not a single licensed mortician on site! We had to leave grandpa underneath the cellar. They did have some pretty cool monster trucks there, though. Grandpaw would have liked that.

We passed by the Grave Digger Monster Truck site on our way down to the Outer Banks, and figured it would be a fun stop for our 5 year old on the way back home. It was easy to find, as Caratoke Highway is the main road leading to the OBX from Virgina. To ride in the back of the Monster Truck, it $10 a person. Bring cash for that. Its not a super long ride, but it was enough to excite our little guys. If you are not into the ride, they have a restaurant with some decent breakfast food, a small petting zoo, a few Grave Digger cars for photo ops, and a gift shop. Definitely worth checking out with the kids if you are going to the OBX. We wore our COVID masks while there, but not everyone was doing the same.

On our way to the Outer Banks for our annual family vacation this is our favorite stop. My husband and youngest daughter are huge fans. About 10 years ago we stopped and was shopping in the store when Dennis Anderson walked in , he was dressed in his jumpsuit and slippers. He is such a down to earth person. He walked up to my husband and daughter and asked if they wanted a picture; of course they both were so excited. Now here we are 10 years later and we had stopped and was walking around the property when he stopped and asked if my husband and daughter wanted a picture; of course they both were so excited. I just want Dennis Anderson to know just how thankful I am that he makes my husband’s and my daughter’s day. He is such a good person and has a great place to stop and spend a few hours. Glad to see that his sons and daughter are going to continue the family empire. If heading to the Outer Banks this is a stop you will enjoy and fun for all ages! Plus there is a diner with really good food and great service!!!

Employees were not wearing any masks despite signs that all customers have to wear one. Gift shop prices are double than what they should be. The monster truck ride is $10 per person and is not long at all. Cool place for little kids but it’s a ripoff.
