This use to be a private course. It shows. Better then all the other resort courses except no8. Great test with big greens that have generous amount of slope, combined with many different tees to play from which makes it playable for everyone. Staff is attentive to all needs.

This is the type of setting that I expect when I think of taking a golf vacation. Pristine is the only word. After playing the bermuda greens at #2, Mid-Pines, and Tobacco Road, the bent-grass greens were a breath of fresh air. The course has a more traditional primary cut of rough, but still has the waste and pine needle... More

This is a private course that had been acquired by Pinehurst. It has both private membership and Pinehurst play. The course has many interesting holes. The day we played there was a tournament practice round so some of the pin placements were unfair. The course is in pretty good share and there is an excellent practice facility. It is one... More

Played Pinehurst #9 as the 3rd of four rounds of a golf trip scheduled through Tobacco Road Golf. Having arrived following a morning round nearby, the entry into the National Club was very impressive and more what we expected out of the other Pinehurst courses we visited (but did not play---we were very surprised at the openness of the courses... Shortly after the US Open, Pinehurst Resort announced the acquisition of National Golf Golf. National is, if anything, even better than before. This Jack Nicklaus design is a challenge to even the scratch golfer. Tom Parsons (head pro) is the nicest pro in the Village of Pinehurst. Beautiful layout. Challenge. Pinehurst Resort quality golf.

Our first trip to Pinehurst to play where the pros play. Sad to say this particular golf course is in serious need of care. The fairways are passable, the rough is non-existent, the tee boxes are torn up, the sand bunkers are not the fluffy sand Pinehurst is known for; I could go on but I think you get the... More

This is a Jack Nicklaus course that in typical Nicklaus fashion borders on unplayable for the average golfer. Tee shots are demanding, all approaches require that you fly the ball on the green in that there are a variety of hazards in front of every green. Once on the green there is so much sloe that if you are not... More

now PInehurst #9 is a great golf course with beautiful scenic views and some amazing houses. the service in the bar is awesome and the food is great. Try to play here on one of my trips to pinehurst each year. one drawback, since they are now part of the Pinehusrt resort non members can only get a tee time... More

Ate lunch here with business associates. The customer service was great, lunches arranged/taste good, and well prices. There are views to the course and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, a great place for business lunches if you're a member.

We played 36 holes with a morning and afternoon tee time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Gerry was the starter and gave us some great tips on club selection and reading the greens. The course was in great shape as well and the greens were rolling fast and true. We stopped for lunch in the grill and the... More
