Played Pinehurst number 8 during a golf vacation at the resort. These may be the nicest greens I have ever played on. The course has the challenging elevated greens with false fronts, backs and sides, and the condition of the greens was remarkable. As with all the Pinehurst facilities, the staff are excellent, all very friendly and helpful. Played in... More

Playing Pinehurst #8 is a great day. Even if your score is challenged, you will keep saying what a great course this is. I am a fan of Tom Fazio courses. Remember you can just come here for lunch too and sit on the patio.

Interesting and a little more hilly. Set in its own grounds with a clubhouse and all the facilities of a standalone club. We enjoyed playing this one the most of all.

#8 at Pinehurst is absolutely gorgeous. Greens have a lot of slope but are still easy to play. Proshop and restaurant are a must visit.

Hidden on a gorgeous piece of Sandhills landscape Course #8 is not to be missed. Every hole is unique, challenging and picturesque. As usual, the staff is cordial and helpful. This course will provide a terrific Pinehurst memory.

Not like its proud parent, Number 2, this course is definitely the next best in the Pinehurst series. Challenging and fair but not easy on the index. Enjoy yourselves and try not to lose your composure as you will disturb the native habitats and habitat. Fore.

We have a home in Pinehurst, are members of the club, and can play all 9 courses. #8 is unique, in that you will not see any houses, or see much, if any, out of bounds. Course winds through the trees, wetlands, and has varied terrain. Very enjoyable, and while the greens are tough, the course is very playable. It's... More

If you have the opportunity to play Pinehurst #8, don't miss out. The course has its own character, and if fun and challenging. We live in the neighborhood bordering the course (there are no homes on the course itself). Quiet. Beautiful. Top Notch.

Played #1, #2, #4 and #8 on a weekend trip to Pinehurst. #8 is a Fazio design. A lot of character, more elevation than #2. It was a nice layout, though I didn't like the greens. Many slope one way, but the grain runs another, making it VERY difficult to read putts. Talked to a few others that played it... More

Pretty good layout , fair , try to play #1,#3, or #5 before this one to warm up. Played during light rain so tough to judge it.
