There are several Sensations throughout the Outer Banks and it is a great place to pick up souvenirs to bring home. The stores are HUGE and they have a great selection of almost anything you would want that is beach related. We always buy our t-shirts here as they are cheap and they have a ton of designs. You can also pick up your beach essentials such as sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, etc.

You have to go in to these types of stores with the understanding that they are tourist traps. But sometimes that's part of the fun! The t-shirts were pretty reasonable - $5 for the cheap ones, and there were quite a few swimsuits marked down. They have the usual beachwear, souvenirs, taffy, etc. You can get coupons at any of the welcome centers or most hotels.

This is your basic beach shop, large, lots of stuff. Just keep note of the sign outside. It states "up to" 70% off, it can be deceiving. Always best to shop after summer is over!

The store was a bit unorganized so it made it hard to shop among their deals. So they had shirts that said 3 for $26.99. Right next to those shirts were shirts that were 2 for $19.99 but all on the same shelving. Watch what you are grabbing because they will not help you in any way (no returns or refunds) nor point out the deal is incomplete. I worked in retail for 9 years, it was always my job to make sure the customer could see if a deal was not fulfilled (for example bogo.) I decided I would not go back.

We went into the Sunsations across from Millers on the bypass several times while there and a girl that worked there named Kristina was there each time we came in and was a super sweet person. I wish we would have had more time to get to know her a little better. She took great care of us!

Saw this (see pic) on an African-American male in one of the stores in OBX. If you have small children and/or self respect, I would avoid these stores. I felt dirty when I left.

We stopped at Sensations on our vacation "shopping" day. My husband and I call this our "cheesy souvenir shopping day." Quite honestly there were some nice things here. We took some time to look around because it was hot outside and did buy some OBX decals. If you have some time, take a minute to stop in and look around.

It's your typical tourist trap a T-shirt and other crap that you don't need but you end up buying. It's your typical 50% off while we mark the price up 50%.

This is a nice beach store that has all you'll need for your beach needs. We stopped in here a couple of times to pick up some items on a recent trip.
