I love being in the air - I've flown a plane, been in a hot air balloon, been on a seaplane, parasailed, ziplined which have all been great experiences but hang gliding tops the list by far. Linda drove me to the hang glider. She was great. I told her I also want to skydive and she replied "why be... More

My sons gave me a the 2000 foot tandem flight. At first I was reluctant but after giving it some thought, I decided to do it. I must say it was a fantastic experience. A young man by the name Andy was my pilot. We strapped in and in a short time we were off the ground and climbing out.... More

Kitty Hawk Kites provides what is arguably one of the most unique experiences available anywhere on Earth. On Friday, June 10th, 2016, at Jockey’s Ridge near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, my daughter became the 167th person in the history of the world to pilot the 1902 Wright Glider operated by Kitty Hawk Kites. Wilbur and Orville Wright were obviously the... More

I really thought the price was "tourist trap" pricing until I got there and started doing it. Yes, it's expensive, but I felt like I got my money's worth with 5 flights on the dune. (First time there, so I was in the Beginner's class.) I look forward to going back for advanced classes and the aerotow. All the staff... More

I had fun hang gliding with two of my friends. Even though we didn't go as high as we expected, we still had fun. The staff are very friendly. We were 25 minutes late and they politely put us into rotation with the other group. The only thing I did not like about this experience is that we were under... More

We went in mid April. The staff was nice but a bit unorganized. Their website says no more than 5 per instructor but we had 16 total that was broken up into two groups. One of the hand gliders had "technical problems" so we had to combine into one until they could go back and get a replacement glider. The... More

I wish I could give this experience a better review but average is a stretch at this point. My daughter was dying to give hang gliding a try so we signed her up for this experience well over a year ago. It's all she talked about. She sat through the class. Made the long trek out to the top of... More

This is a great way to try out hang gliding! The staff is super friendly, enthusiastic and incredibly fit and able to give everyone the best possible first time learning experience in hang gliding. It is even great for kids. They basically do everything for you from carrying the hang glider up the hill and then running beside you during... More

Friends and family were skeptical that a 67 yr old would actually go hang gliding for the first time. But I did and it was wonderful. The experience was awesome and the instructors were beyond great. They were so patient and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next flight. Try it - you'll like it!
