A covered boat ride, a breeze, dolphins, and grad student Liz teaching us real facts and not just tour guide schtuck. Perfect length of time, kept my attention the whole time (a little over 2 hours). Didn't drag out, didn't get wet, didn't burn. Parking was plentiful, reservation over the phone was easy.

Highly recommend the later afternoon/evening tour to avoid the heat of the day! We saw several dolphin, osprey, and seagulls! Our guide was a graduate student doing her internship. She was very informative and helpful! She included the kids in a "scientific experiment" after the dolphin pod moved off. The great experience was topped off with a double rainbow!

Who can't enjoy a boat ride over the waters, and dolphins as a bonus?! The captain and first mate Jess, were very informative and answered all our questions during our tour. When dolphins were spotted, the boat would get as close as possible for great photos and up close (but safe for the dolphins) views. I would highly recommend this... More

After reading positive reviews we decided to go on the Nags Head Dolphin Watch. We are very glad we went! Booked our reservation online for a 5:30 PM slot. Easy to find location. Boat left promptly. Very friendly boat crew. We started seeing dolphins about 20 minutes into the trip, if I recall correctly) and saw them consistently for the... More

Tour guide was not only extremely knowledgeable, but fantastic with children. We saw tons of dolphins including baby dolphins. Seat on Pontoon were covered for shade and there was also an area upfront by the railings if you wanted to get out into the sun. Very comfortable and, at two hours, just the right length of time. Highly recommended!

It was a stormy morning and even though it had quit raining the wind was blowing. The water was very choppy and we never did see a dolphin. They gave us tickets to come again for free but we were leaving that day and will never be able to go back again. I think that they are familiar enough with... More

Our tour guide's enthusiasm for dolphins and information about dolphins made our trip even more exciting than we imagined! We got to see about 20 to 30 dolphins on our tour.

. . . But our captain knew where to find them and didn't give up. The tours are scheduled for about two hours, but although we didn't find the dolphins well past the first hour we didn't rush in and out. The captain and his assistant were informative, entertaining and relaxed. Perfect for a vacation. . . We got tons... More

Very friendly staff operating this inviting eatery with a great SeaZar Salad. Whenever you're on a search for lighthouses and you find yourself getting hungry, this is the place to stop.

My family went on the dolphin watching tour and boy did we see a lot of dolphins. My youngest son was absolutely mesmerized. The Dolphins were beautiful and our captain and crew told us all about the Dolphins, including some the recognize and see frequently, including a Dolphin the locals refer to as Onion. It was a great outing.
