We visit the dam a couple of times a year. The views are great. We take a picnic lunch and enjoy the views and quite. You can walk out on the dam. We talk out of state visitors there a lot.

This location is close enough to many dams in the area that one can visit many of them in the same day. They are all worth seeing.

It you are a fan of dams, then this is an interesting little spot. There are picnic tables, and a few shady areas to make this a nice place for a family outing.

Went to the bottom, then drove back and across. Great views from both. As with most dams and spillways, the enormity gets to you once you arrive at the bottom where the water is flowing rather quickly.

A nice ride and beautiful scenery. Take a picnic lunch, fish and enjoy the mountain rivers. A great day or afternoon trip!

This was cool to see in person too. We had a slight detour due to road work but very neat to see. Wish the water had been on, but definitely beautiful view of the mountains!

Yes, at the base of the dam there is a picnic spot. We fished there (or tried to) but the current was moving too fast. There is an area close by where you can rent a boat and fish on the lake.
