Lovely setting for an excellent winery!
Sep 2021
Beautiful vineyard and winery in NC. Lovely porch and patio to sip wine and enjoy some cheese. The wines were quite good and we purchased several bottles. White wine is usually my favorite but the reds were outstanding!

Loved the wine and the atmosphere

This winery was lovely. The wines were good and they had quite the crowd on a Saturday afternoon. There was live music and lots of people had brought their lawn chairs. We are building a vacay house in the area and this will be high on our list of things to do.

It could have been so much better
Nov 2020
I would have given this place a "terrible" but the view was so nice and the outside had nice seating, that I upped it to an "poor". My disappoints : 1) No white wine! It was sold out. I drove 1.5 hours to learn this. I wish they had posted on their web site or facebook that there was no white wine. 2) The server was not friendly at all. Talked while walking all over the place, even talked with her back to us. She acted like she didn't want to be there, and didn't want us there. 3) Though it was posted the need to wear a mask to enter building, a group of 4 entered the building without masks and nothing was said to them. Why have policies if you are not going to enforce them?
I won't go back. There are plenty of good wineries in NC where one is treated with respect and friendliness (and has wine).

Great property, with really good wines and great views!

We visited during the week, so no food service, but we brought crackers! Our wine flight was very good, and in fact we bought all 4 of them plus 2 extra bottles of the Cabernet Franc (got a discount for 6 bottles). The facility and outdoor seating/viewing area are outstanding. Nice view of the South Mountains. We definitely will return.

Best Afternoon Ever
Aug 2019
This is a cozy little winery with great food, service, and of course wine! And let's not forget the views. The Silver Fork Winery is worth the side trip after a long day of hiking.

Awesome tasting with Kelly and Mark
Oct 2019
Love the newly released Cabernet franc! Great dry wine tasting, with nice sized serving to allow for a proper tasting.
Kelly was super knowledgeable and helpful on each wine.
Have music on Saturdays, which has a great venue.
Thanks!!

Best in the County
Sep 2019
We have visited most of the wineries locally and we have to say that this is the best.
Firstly, the location is inspiring. Gorgeous, nestled in the foothills with views of the Appalachians. Great music and a food truck. Unfortunately, they only had 3 wines available for tasting - having sold out their stock. One was not great, however, the stainless-steeled chardonnay was great and we had a bottle out on the veranda. The last wine was a chambourcin. Spicy, and in my view, needs at least another year or two of aging. Interestingly, they grow all their own grapes - no outside sourcing. Oh, and the tasting was free. Well worth a visit.

Attractive view.

The tasting room is attractive and view of the South Mountains is great. The service if friendly and the wine is good. During the season they have live music on Saturday afternoons. Less than 5 miles from I-40.

Great Way to spend an afternoon
Jun 2019 • Couples
Being an NC native, I'm not overly high on our locally-produced wines in comparison to traditional vineyards. However, Silver Fork has a few very nice wines. My wife thoroughly enjoyed their rose and I found the Cab Franc to be delicious. Silver Fork's wines are on the dry side which suits us more than other NC wines which tend to be sweeter in my opinion.

The venue itself is small but pleasant. Wonderful views of South Mountain from a shaded hillside, nice food service from a local vendor and occasional live music make it a place that invites us back. Definitely worth visiting, roughly 90 minutes from Charlotte and 60 minutes from Asheville.
