Stopped here for the night as I headed up the East Coast. Very easy to get into, with plenty of water under the hull. Prices are very good at just under $2.00 a foot. Fuel was competitively priced, too. Floating docks that are well maintained. Friendly staff and helpful getting me tied up. Just off the ICW, and one can easily continue the ICW or head out into the Atlantic from here.

If you are in Morehead City, this is a Must-See

Good place to sight-see - lots of colorful charter fishing boats, shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Plus if you time it right, you'll see the various charter boat crews off loading and sometimes cleaning some of the fish caught that day, which is always an interesting spectacle. There's something to do for everyone here of all ages. It's easy to get to with plentiful parking and facilities. Prime time activities include the Seafood Festival (3 days each October) and the Big Rock Tournament (2nd week of June each year). These bring lots of people and crowds.

They yacht basin is a nice walk to take in the salty air and get a fresh bite and a cold beer. There is a lot of history in this area and friendly folks about.

Fun place to visit and stroll among the many charter fishing boats and transient yachts while visiting the plethora of interesting and inviting restaurants.

Really nice price, great people. We checked in after hours. The channel going in and out was a little narrow. The office was supposed to open at 8 am. The guy finally showed up around 8:30, then couldn't get us checked out till around 9. The showers were nice, but no place to put your clothes without them getting wet. It's an industrial area. I didn't try Floyds because that was out of our price range. It doesn't look like there's much else local, but on the way out on the ICW, we noticed some cool places on the water that might have been affordable. The Speedway gas station was close and had some good junk food. If you walk across the street from there to the next road closest to the water and hang a right, that's where we saw the local restaurants and bars from the ICW.
