Very friendly staff. Had a Good time. :-)
Nov 2019
Went to this hidden jewel in Monroe downtown yesterday to use a Groupon. Groupon allows you a total of 6 tastings per person. If you want to skip Groupon then you can just stop by for wine tasting for 5 dollar per person any time,
Good selection and very friendly employees. I am not a wine person but I just loved this place. Had a really good relaxing time,
Wine here is so good you will end up picking at least 2 bottles.
They have a cheese plate with Club crackers and some nachos/popcorn.They had two slushies and some warm apple/cinnamon wine in crockpot too.
Try it out you won't be disappointed.

A Lot of Fun!
Jun 2018 • Friends
We were very skeptical of this because of its location but so glad we went. It was just a lot of fun! The wine was very good and our unanimous favorite was the slushy. I also liked the chocolate raspberry dessert wine. Rene was wonderful, very knowledgeable of the town history and wine. We will definitely go back again.

Greeted with "Bless You" Live music, friendly atmosphere, lovely decor and wine. I enjoyed this place with The Consortium and we had a ball. Perfect way to spend a Saturday. The selections were delightful and the tasting was informative and delicious.

Cute winery in the middle of town!

We had a great time! The wine slushes are my favorite. I found a groupon for wine tasting and cheese plate for our date night. We just recently moved to the area and were pleasantly surprised with how good the wine was and the atmosphere. It is a small hole in the wall winery, and very cozy! We went back several times after and would recommend for a casual date night :)

Apple. Cranberry. Cinnamon. Wine. Incredible.

I don’t fancy myself a wine connoisseur. I couldn’t tell a vintage from a stinky-foot stomped wine made days before. My wine experience tends to be finding something that tastes good, sharing it with friends, and enjoying it to the last drop. Hilton Vineyards features an astounding number of wines for a small, off-site, outpost. It almost seems like too many when you view the list. A disclaimer on this visit-I had the chance to visit Hilton Vineyard when in town for Christmas 2015, and I had already fallen in love with one of their wines. This visit was driven by the quest to acquire more, more, more of that selection.

Selecting a tasting allows you to pre-select 8 selections from that extensive list of wines. They have every fruit wine you could imagine. My choices all tended to be from the semi-sweet/sweet sections of the list, though my group of 4 wondered throughout the selection. Much like my first time getting to sample the wines, none of the stood out to be as remarkable. Several as drinkable, some as not so good. I didn’t waste a sampling on the Apple, Cranberry, and Cinnamon wine-it was what had driven me to my return visit. I can’t even describe this as a spectacular wine, but I can describe it as a remarkable substance drink, period. The flavor complex leads you away from one of a standard wine (you taste no over or undertone that reveals itself as wine), but the flavors, in tandem, create a drink (which happens to be wine) that is incredible. It tastes like Christmas, but that doesn’t prevent it from being good, chilled, on a warm Spring day.

I do think Hilton Vineyard is worth the visit if you haven’t been able to check it out. I love that it is downtown, and appears to me as a visitor to Monroe to be aiding the revitalization of downtown. I am always proud to offer monetary support to a local business that dares to occupy a space surrounded by empty storefronts.

Cozy, friendly atmosphere; good wines

This storefront is in the historic district. It is the retail end of the Vineyard. The grapes are grown and processed in an adjacent, dry county so there are no tours available. But the shoppe is quite quaint and they have provided comfy furnishings so you can relax while you sip a glass. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They offer cheese plates if you desire and there are a couple restaurants nearby. There is plenty of on street parking and a nearby lot as well. We were told that during the warmer months there are street parties and entertainment on weekend evenings. Their dry wines are quite good and are reasonably priced. We don't drink sweet wines so I cannot attest to them, but for those who like sweet wines, there is a good assortment to choose from. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area. There are tables outside on the sidewalk so get a glass and sit outside and watch the world go by.

Romantic little spot- waiting just for you!

Great local wines in very cozy location on Main Street. Winter months they may not be open as late as stated , so call ahead if driving a long distance. During warmer months, the hours can be even later, outdoor tables & snacks & they sometimes have live entertainment. There is not a full food menu so eat ahead of time or make this your stop before or after dinner if hungry- though they do sometimes have snacks. Only serve wine & frozen wine beverages-no beer- some may be non or low alcoholic as well if you prefer...ask if someone wants that or if they prefer the frosty light taste of a wine-a-rita as opposed to regular glasses of wine. There is usually a few free sips of wine you might like or you can do a full wine tasting course which is a really good deal. The ice wine is good but a little pricey but most wines are $3-$5 a glass or you can get bottles for there or to take as gifts from about $8-$9 and up,
Monroe is starting to really grow downtown & I'm sure this place will grow with it. It is small now but definitely worth sitting down & enjoying some local wine & stories at the bar. Friendly, clean, & cozy...great ambiance for a date night or even a small business meeting. I would suggest longer hours year round to grow business but I support them for offering something nice in our little town! Give them a try!

Small and quaint storefront with big flavor wines!

We visited this wine bar on a friday night. It looked like there was a car show on the same street that was just ending as we got there. So it was fairly busy when we arrived. We had a living social coupon for a wine tasting and asked if we could use it being it was a Friday and they were busy. The coupon didn't say there were certain times to be used but I wanted to be sure. The bartender said she would. She did mention they usually stop at 6pm but if we were patient with her she would do it. We said no problem. By the time we were ready for our second tasting, most of the crowd was leaving so we bellied up to the bar and finished. They have wonderful array of wines from dry to sweet. These aren't your typical sweet wines though. They were full of flavor but light on the sugar. I typically don't enjoy sweet wines and I found three that I really enjoyed. Watermelon and the Raspberry Chocolate being two of my favorites. after our tasting, we stayed and enjoyed a few glasses of wine while talking with the bartenders and listening to the music. We found out that they have shag nights once a week, shag lessons on Sundays, and once a month disco night. We can't wait to go back.
