Absolutely Love the Ark! The view from the front porch is absolutely nature at its best! My pets love watching the wild animals in our back yard! You will love this place if you love perfect imperfections! This is our 3rd stay here and always love it! This is not the commercialized zoo. They animals are family to the owners and it shows! Love that this place gives you a break from electronics!

Lots of unique animals close up!
Aug 2019
We bought a Groupon to come here with a 18 month old and 3 year old. They loved seeing all the animals, petting the goats, zebra, watching the pigs and piglets run and hope for us to feed them. We got to hold a baby goat and be in the pen with them to pet. The day was very hot and little to no shade for the walking tour. Fun seeing and interacting with all the different animals that had been rescued, but the place and pens needed work, overgrown.

Great Place for Kids
Jun 2019
WNAAA is a great family atmosphere with lots of things to keep the children entertained. The staff and owners were great to work with and very educational. Since I ride horses, I will return to ride there.

Bad, Bad, Bad
Jun 2019 • Family
We attended here with a group today. The group consisted of 18 girls who are 7-8 years old. These girl scouts have been on many outings and have always been completely respectful and well-behaved. They truly exhibit what it means to be a good Girl Scout.

The Bad, Bad, Bad — The owner.

Our group was scheduled to be at the event area to eat at 11. We arrived there at 11. Lunch was quick and the girls were ready to learn about the horse as soon as a hand brought it over. They went straight to the barn afterwards following the horse.

The owner was at the barn loudly talking on her phone. She seemed more than a little annoyed with questions from each caller. In between calls, the owner was barking at the kids, adults and employees.

In advance, we were told that parents and siblings could ride as well, as long as they were told about it ahead of time. One of the siblings was placed on a horse by her employee and she barked at him that he wasn’t a girl and shouldn’t be on the horse. This upset him and he didn’t want to ride anymore. She barked that we had decided to show up late and she didn’t have time for all that. The owner went on to tell another girl that she was way too big to be on the horse that her employee put her on. A mom told another mom that she would be writing a bad review due to her rudeness. This was apparently overheard and shared with the owner.

Our group was split into two groups with one going riding and the others going on a petting zoo tour. Upon arriving back to the barn with the first group, the owner loudly said that she wasn’t taking the other group because of how the girls treated her horses. Most of these girls were scared but excited to be on a horse. They certainly were not acting wild or being mean in any way. As she’s leading a horse away, she suddenly turned and freaked out saying that if someone wanted to write a bad review about her then she would give them something to write a bad review about. I asked her twice to please not do this in front of the girls and to stop yelling. She continued to loudly rant in front of a group of young kids.

I walked away and took my daughter to the side and asked quietly if the owner had been being mean on the trail ride. She replied no, thankfully. Though one of the other girls said she had been loud and bossy. One of her young employees overheard me ask my daughter that and said that “if the owner had been mean then she had good reason for it” in a nasty tone.

😳

Our leader came down to find out what was going on and the owner wouldn’t even let her speak because she was ranting. This leader was only trying to make sure that the other group would be able to ride as well. The owner screamed at our leader and asked for our troop number because she was calling to report us to council. She finally decided to allow the other group of girls to ride but said two of them would have to ride together on the same horse because she refused to go with the second group.

Never have I seen an adult act this way with children present. I absolutely haven’t ever witnessed a business owner or manager act in such an unprofessional and irate manner. This is clearly how her personality is under every circumstance because we were nothing but respectful there.

The Good — The Petting Zoo Tour Guide

Jennifer led both groups on the tour around the farm to meet the animals. Wow! Such a nice person! She was knowledgeable about the animals, answered all of our questions and was really kind to all of us. Jennifer has a great personality and is perfectly suited for her job.

The other owner came to meet with us at the end to get the final numbers for the rides and tours. He was very nice to all of us and thanked
us for coming out today.

Obviously, we will not be returning there as a group but they’ve also lost business from our family and friends as well.

Animal Lovers' Paradise
May 2019 • Family
If I count the number of thank you's my grandsons offered for their recent day of exploration at the Ark, I'd be a wealthy Nana. Twenty-three acres of pure love as the diverse animals are loved and well taken care of. Everything from zebras and camels, to wallabies, peacocks, bobcats and sheep.
All proceeds go to the feeding and care of the inhabitants, many of whom are rescues from folks who once thought they could care for exotic animals and then fell short. Truly a wonderful sanctuary!

Great For Kids and Grandpa Who Loves Animals.

Dogs, dogs and more dogs. Teenager leads you on a group tour. They have many animals who have been rescued. Feed is $3 for bucket. Animals love to ‘steal’ the food. Wear comfortable shoes and old clothes. This is a farm environment. We really enjoyed this place!

This is not a tourist attraction, but a private collection. I think they've done a good job with it. Fun for the kids.

Nice little petting park
Aug 2016
We went to this ranch with my in-laws, my 2 year old and some relatives. It was nice and liked the experience. My son enjoyed interacting with the animals and feeding them. Definitely not the best organized place in the world but for a European individual like myself and my son that we are not used to this type of landscape, we liked it.
