A true hidden gem just a half hour drive from Winston Salem. Wines are well balanced and full of flavor! Chris is the winemaker/owner/vineyard manager. He provides a wealth of knowledge about the grapes and the science of winemaking.

We thought the list of wines at Lazy Elm looked interesting. It's small, not a fancy tasting room. The servers are friendly and enthusiastic about their wines. They have a good variety of wines and the wines are good. Prices are very reasonable. We look forward to going back later this spring.

It is very rare to taste all the wines of a vineyard and not be able to pick out a winner among them !!The all were well balanced & easy to drink!!Great job !!!

We were here on Saturday - we were visiting our Niece that lives in the area and she just turned 21 this past March- so wine tasting was one of things we were going to do on our visit. So Lazy Elm Winery was on our list to visit - and so glad we did - the tasting was very well done and we were pretty impressed with the wines that NC can produce - we bought a few bottles to take back with us to Ohio. Chris was very personable and made my Niece's first wine tasting very pleasant. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our tasting today. The owner was friendly. We enjoyed everything we tasted and bought a few bottles to take home.

Excellent place to visit. We were lucky enough to have the actual winemaker. Since it wasn't too busy he took us for a tour of the facility. We ended up sitting outside for a few hours enjoying the family's company.

If you like good wine at a reasonable price you will have a hard time doing better than Lazy Elm. Not the fanciest of the NC wineries but one of the best. Along with the wine, the staff is very knowledgeable and enjoyable. As to the wines, their Cab Sauv, Montepulciano, and Dam Yankee were our favorites. As to whites, we were very surprised to find that they had a Vermentino that was very good. We will be back to taste their great wines again.

We went up to the Lazy Elm Winery last Saturday with another couple for a wine tasting. Chris, the winery’s owner, personally poured our wine. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly. The red wines were really very good and the Port was exceptional well done! We enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back!

The wine here is all made by hand. You can definitely tell the difference. The reds are very smooth, and not at all tannic. The option to stay on the dry side or to venture off into a sweeter vein is very nice. I fell in love with the Sweet Apple. It is like drinking an apple pie. The reds, every one of them, are fabulous as well. Super nice folks, you gotta try it!

Friendly guys, I arrived right at closing on a Saturday evening. I was greeted like a family member. Awesome tasting and super incredible dryer wines. I'm sold! I have been to 128 wineries in NC, Lazy Elm is in my top 20 favorites for taste and quality wines. No fancy dressed up gimmicks just great 1at class wine.
