Until Joe and Joyce Neely purchased the property, RayLen Vineyards & Winery functioned as a dairy farm for nearly a century. Today, the rolling hills and winding drive romance our guests as they drive through 35,000 European-varietal grape vines. The distinctive cupola roof top of RayLen Vineyards & Winery is a beacon for the southern portion of the Yadkin Valley Appellation. Travelers from the highway and wanderers from the surrounding country roads are drawn to the tasting room to discover a new experience. Loyal customers return for the lush vista and a reliable favorite of vintner Steve Shepard's award-winning wines.

Raylen Vineyards is one of my favorites!! I'm a white wine drinker and Raylen's Reisling and Yadkin Gold are among the best I've had. The scenery is relaxing and beautiful. It's hard to believe you are right off I40. The staff is extremely friendly attentive and nice. If you are in Davie County and enjoy wine, Raylen is a must!!!

This is a large operation with a big variety of wines. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and pleasant during our tasting.

People are great and friendly. Best to go when not so busy so you can take your time and enjoy the tasting while getting good information about the wine. Great variety and great wine!

We went here with friends and each of us had the $15 Extended Flight sampler, which included a RayLen wine glass to take home. (There are also $7 Red Flight, White Flight and Sweet Flight samplers, but we wanted to try more than just one color.) We were able to sample 4 whites, 5 reds, a rose, a riesling, a... More

Raylen produces some of the best NC reds, in my opinion. I am particularly partial to the Category 5. The tasting room does have some seating, and the outdoors are lovely if weather permits. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating whether you are doing a tasting, making a purchase, or just enjoying a glass.

Was in the area and wanted to try a little local flavor. Was greeted by a couple ladies behind the counter who were warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable. I had many questions and they answered them with ease. I would love to be there when the grapes are in bloom to sit out on the porch, rock and enjoy... More

We always have a great time at RayLen. They have such an interesting history, and for a smaller winery produce a great variety of traditional French varietals that have classic taste with a hint of North Carolina terroir. Definitely the place to go if you want to escape to a more classic experience in a place usually offering muscadine and... More

The most recent visit to Raylen was with a corporate event with husband's company. We had also done a wine tasting a few weeks back that was most enjoyable. At the prior wine tasting we purchased 6 bottles that we took with us. During that visit we were told about the case club, which was of great interest to my... More

Very nice place to sit and drink wine. They have a great variety of sweets and drys, whites and reds. If you need something to do on a Friday...go to their events. They usually have food trucks and music. It's fun and relaxing :)
