Very quiet park with nice lake which allows limited boating and fishing. Nature trails, great picnic areas and shelters. Has boat access or you can rent a paddleboat/john boat or take a ride on a pontoon boat.

Lake Michael Park is very well maintained. Clean bathrooms, nice childrens playground. Very reasonablely priced picnic shelters. Nice hiking trails. One can rent a paddle boat also.

My wife and I are building a house near this lake and have gone there several times. Our last visit I took along my 16 year old son and rented a utility boat. Four dollars to rent a boat and zero cost for entry fee sounds great.

We spent the next three hours exploring a long but very narrow lake. We saw a few great blue herons and several geese. Everyone we encountered had a friendly wave or smile. We will definitely return and do again with our fishing poles as that is the main activity here.

My greatest moment of our trip is my son saying wow I did not even look at my phone for the last three hours. My advice to the park however is to put a winch on a pole to help bring the boats out of the water. You already have the poles and chain a simple winch would make it easier for all involved.

If you are looking for natural serenity this is the perfect spot. The trip over to Lake Michael Park was a great day full of activities and full for the whole group. We utilized one of the picnic shelters to setup for our picnic. Some of the folks in the group wandered off down the nature trails, some played on the volleyball court, some fished, while others rented a paddle boat and explored the lake. We had a great time visiting and plan to return in the spring.

Lake Michael on Lebanon Road in Mebane is a short walk from my home. You'll enter over several speed bumps. You'll see ample parking, a Ranger House, and rentals for Paddle Boats ($1.00). There is a lighted Pavilion, Play ground, and flushing Men's and Women's restrooms. Both lighted. There is a boat dock, and PLENTY of good crappie fishing.

This is a great place to take children. Inexpensive boat rentals, play areas and good place for a picnic. It is nice just to sit and relax and watch the water or go for a hike. I wish they were open more days of the week/

I go every year more than once here. The lake is amazing, you can paddle boat, fish, go for a ride in a pontoon boat, nature walks and several picnic areas. I love this place. If you haven’t gone please try at least once.

I live near here and we frequent this park. The scenery is beautiful. Lots of trees and water. There are 2 playgrounds for kids, public bathrooms and grills with lots of picnic areas.
