If you have been scared off by poor reviews in the last couple of years, please think again. This vineyard is under new ownership since the fall of 2021 and the new owners, Laura and David are very friendly, and gracious hosts. My wife and I spent a lovely, relaxing Friday afternoon enjoying a very reasonably priced tasting flight and then a bottle of their Diamond Girl Red, along with snacks we brought with us. The grounds are lovely, the atmosphere relaxed, and the wine quite good, Check out their event listings and all that they have to offer. We cannot wait to see what they do with the property in the coming months and years.

A fantastic stop during our visit to Rockingham County, NC. The new owners are Awesome! We had an excellent tasting session and learned a lot about the wines and the area. The owners positive attitude and friendly nature changes the gust experience and all the visitors become friends and have an enjoable time together.

A great experience and can't miss stop in Rockingham County, NC! A definite must stop when we return.

Traveling from Virginia on our way back to Florida we saw a sign for the vineyards on highway 220 and decided to make a stop and check it out, and are we glad we did. We entered the winery and were instantly greeted by David and Laura (owners) and decided to sample their broad selection of wines. We had a fantastic view of the vineyards and had some great and interesting conversation with the owners. They informed us that there were also six rental cabins available that were on the property. Since it was later in the day we decided to check them out and decided to stay the night. Locaed in a peaceful setting we had a great nights rest and really hated to leave the next morning. If you are in the area this is a place you definitely have to visit, or spend the night. Great wine and accommodations.

Friends
I visited Autumn Creek Saturday 3/26/16 to celebrate the birthday of a very dear friend. Over 10 of our closest friends and coworkers came from various areas of the triad to enjoy the live music and wine tasting. After the tasting, we all purchased several bottles to enjoy at home.

We rented one of the cabins for the evening (something we have done on a number of occasions). After the wine tasting, we left for the cabin to have some dinner. Our friends were not staying for the night, but having a bite to eat after drinking and then heading home. As we were about to begin dinner, a man from the winery walked into the cabin and said that our guests to leave. The gentleman told us that there could only be 4 people in the cabin. The group was a diverse mix of PROFESSIONALS, not kids out to party. No loud music, no acting crazy, we were just trying to have an enjoyable evening with friends. I have never been so embarrassed and most importantly, demeaned. The man made some broad but incorrect presumptions about me and my group of friends. No one will ever convince me that race was not the prevailing reason that this man decided to intervene into our evening. Again, I have never felt so demeaned.

Ultimately, we left and vow to never patronize this establishment again. We have spent a lot of money at Autumn Creek over the years and have brought them quite a few customers who we have invited for wine tastings and other events held in the vines. I will never spend another penny at Autumn Creek Vineyards.

My wife and I went to Autumn Creek Vineyard for our anniversary and rented "The Cabin in the Vines" for two nights. The cabin is beautiful and very peaceful, but the furniture (sofa and recliner) was broken down and very uncomfortable. Also, the fireplace ran out of gas, so we only used it for maybe an hour. I wouldn't go back if they paid me and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. To me, it is not worth the high price.

Despite hours posted everywhere that they are open on Thursday, after my 50 mile drive, sign said closed at entrance. Called, no answer although two cars were in driveway. Doors locked. Another vineyard said they were in midst of divorce and hours were a bit unsure. May be worth it...how would I know. Definately call before going.

My wife and I visited on May 29and had a pretty good time. I tasted dry reds and whites, and she tasted only the reds. Their taste was ok, but a long time wine drinker might find them on the less than "complex" side. It is a very pretty venue, and would be good for small parties, both inside and outside. I was surprised that they only grew their grapes, and had their wines made at other wine makers and brought back to Autumn Creek. .The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This was our first time at the winery....beautiful location and surroundings. The tasting room was full of people waiting to go down to the pavilion for the dinner. They sold wine by the glass ($5) or bottle (15). The owner Bill, introduced himself to us and we chatted a bit. He then took us around and met another local couple.
Very nice tasting room and good wine (we had the Pinot Gris ).
When the time came, we all walked down to the pavilion, just down the hill. There were quite a few tables set up (probably 10-12?) so we had to find ours....#3.
Much to our dismay, the salads were out in mason jars on the plates.......but the table, silver, plates and salad had ants crawling all over. We tried to brush them off, but there were SO many.....ALL OVER THE TABLE. The caterers blamed it on the venue...with the doors being open and it just had rained, invited the ants right on it....well I feel they shouldn't have had the salad sitting out waiting on us....who knows how long it had to been sitting out...long enough to be devoured by ants..... Not a good sight at all.
We had the catering manger remove and replace our salads. The owner of the winery said ours was the only table with that problem ??? Really? Out of 10 or more tables, ours was the only one with ants? I honestly don't know.
Well, the actors weren't loud enough.....the food was plain at best.....nothing very
impressive at all. This was the winery's first attempt at a murder mystery dinner. I understand there's a few kinks to get out.....but if this happened at a restaurant, I would have got up and walked out. Maybe we should have last night. But the location and surroundings were beautiful, and I truly wanted this to be a good evening .
I would go back.....I think anyone in the area should visit them. It's a bit out of the way, but once you get there , it's very beautiful. Just watch for ants in your food :(

This place is very nice. We stayed in one of the cabins on the property and it seemed like a world away. Beautiful vineyard and just a great place to getaway.
