    Relax and Enjoy!!
Our guide Bret, was wonderful; it was so easy to talk and ride with him. He made sure we were safe, and properly saddled before we began our one hour ride. We were fit with the PERFECT horses, Bret explained our terrain and kept the 3 of us fully engaged during our ride - to include time for a quick pic. We had a wonderful ride. We definitely recommend Sandy Bottoms, you'll have a wonderful time with great people who not only care about their horses, but their guest also!!

    We Enjoyed This A Lot
Four of us took the one hour trail ride and we enjoyed it very much. The gal who was in charge the day we were there (Saturday in October) was on the ball and assured things went smoothly. This place makes sure you're on the right horse and they make sure it's easy to get on an off the horse (for those of us who have ridden very little this was hugely helpful). Our guide (a guy) seemed to be a competent horseman and guided us safely but he never introduced himself to us and interacted minimally with us. We did get some great photos and had a nice ride. We would definitely recommend. It took about 45 minutes drive from Asheville.

    All levels and ages welcomed!
This was absolutely a great way to ride. We arrived early to check-in. A 3 hour tour was leaving out ahead of us and they all looked the part- if you ride or have rode before, I would recommend the 3 hour tour. We booked for 2 hours and had a variety of ages and ride levels in our tour! Tour guide Justin was excellent! Another guide, Kevin, gave us a quick lesson on navigating the trail. The trail was easy to follow and the sights were beautiful. You can see the mountains of Tennessee from this location. Everyone laughed and talked throughout the ride as if we had all known each other for a while! My own horse was pretty lazy. If you happen to get Daisy, she takes her own sweet time. It was definitely enjoyable and relaxing. I would definitely return again.

We had a group of 8, ages 4, 7, 8,12 and adults. We had experienced horse riders and complete beginners. Everyone did awesome and had a blast. The guides, Justin,Justin and sweet Hannah were wonderful. Super informative and knowledgeable about the tour and the horses. This tour is in the mountains of NC- beautiful scenery and views of the mountains and valleys Of The area. I did wear a fanny pack so could Use my phone to take pictures. They supply saddle bags for “Stuff” I would recommend bringing water for you to drink during the rise. We had the 2 hour ride so we stopped at the garnet mine- kids had a blast looking for treasures and it was a good horse break! This is a family run business and you can see the pride they take in their work. I highly recommend!! And their online booking tool is so easy!!

We decided at the last minute to sign up for the 2 hour trail ride, and we are very glad we did. Everyone who works there was super friendly, and we were really happy they were able to fit us in with a last minute reservation. We really liked our guide, Connor, who shared lots of information with us about the horses, the stable and the area. The area we rode through was beautiful and it was fun to be able to cover so much ground without having to do any work. The views are really beautiful, and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time to be able to get high enough to really see everything properly. I would recommend this stable to anyone looking for a positive experience with a horseback ride.

I will start by saying if your on the fence for going for the 2 or 3 hour ride go for the 3. You will get back wanting to not be done. The staff were so kind and open to learning who of our group were comfortable riding and who needed to be guided a little more. Instead of just suffocating all of the riders they told us each about our horses and how they preferred to be rode so we could navigate the trails with more comfort and freedom if we were confident in our abilities. My wife and I would gladly go back next time we’re are near sandy bottom to see more of their beautiful 600 acres!

This trip was nothing short of amazing! Rachelle was an awesome guide and I would highly recommend her if possible. Thank you so much for the awesome trail ride. (The horses were awesome as well!) Such a family environment between co-workers and everyone is there to provide a good experience to its guests. Keep up the awesome work.

*Well run, well established family run business with safe and knowledgeable staff who will take you on an introductory trail rail for all ages.

*Some reviews mentioned the staff rushed them through the ride, but we didn't experience this at all and it was a very busy day. But you need to be 1/2 hour early as requested so they can truly go over everything with you especially if you are a novice or first-time rider.

*I grew up on a ranch in Montana and wanted my (city) family to get a glimpse into real horseback riding. This place was perfect for that experience with staff taking care to match the horse with the rider’s experience level and age. The ride itself is through some very beautiful country and amazing views a bit NW of Ashville. You can even stop at a gem mine and dig in the dirt a little for fun (if you chose that experience).

*Bottom line my kids loved the ride and it truly sparked their interest in horses and the country way of life!

Just a short drive from downtown Asheville we stumbled up this amazing place! The staff was exceptional, they politely answered all of our questions and made us feel like family. The tour guide, Heather, was talkative and informative about the ranch and surrounding areas...she was awesome! The views were out of this world as we traveled up and down the hillside. And who can forget Candy and Tank! Two amazing horses that provided us with a pleasant ride. We will be back and we recommend this adventure to all, those who love horse backing and those who have never been before!!

My wife and I enjoyed a 2-hour ride today> it was my wife's 2nd time on a horse and her horse, Tangle, was very gentle with her and rode just as easy as can be, our guide, Heather, explained that the horses are rotated out. So they are NOT being run to death with group after group rides. Overall, this was a great experience on 500+

Great staff and sweet gentle horses. We took the 3 hour ride. We rode up into the mountains for an hour and then stopped at the gem cage where we were able to explore the creek and area together or on our own. And hour last we retrieved our horses and rode back to the barn. All the staff were friendly, extremely professional and even gave us a laugh or two. If you’re in the area and want a relaxing day in the woods with horses this is for you.

We all had a wonderful experience with the three hour ride and the garnet digging was a lot of fun. There was four adults and two children 10yrs and 4yrs. This was the first time for the kids and for one of the adults, but our guides, Heather and Andy, were the best and helpful with tips for going up and down the trails and any questions we had, and if we didn't live so far away (Melbourne, FL), we'd be there once a month!

The guides were so kind, the horses were very gentle, and the views are absolutely stunning. Well worth the money and would 100% do it again. This was my 8 year old's first solo horse ride and he felt so special being at the front of the line. The head guide was really patient and kind with my son and gave him tips when his horse went off course to grab a snack from the grass. It was such a great experience.
