We were there in the summer of 2015. Hopefully, they have ripped up the old dirty carpet by now. It had myriad black spots all over that looked like goose droppings....we were told that the spots were actually where "kids spit out their gum and it gets flattened out by everyone stepping on it.." Sounds very unsanitary.

We had a terrific night at the Stomping' Ground - a great band - great atmosphere - never before come across clogging but we were fascinated - even had a go on the dance floor - no alcohol served - seemed like a very authentic place for Southern Music - very, very few tourist - full of locals. Do pay... More

Very interesting night. The cloggers we saw were great. Very talented people. They even play music so that you could get up and dance

The Stompin Ground is a gem in Maggie Valley, N.C. We have twin 6 year olds and they had a blast learning how to dance. This is a family friendly venue smoke free and safe. If you're in Maggie Valley do your best to take a break on a Saturday Night and go Clogging!

The Stompin' Ground has become an annual trip for us. Nice large wooden floor to dance on. A team of cloggers put on a show 3 or 4 times a night. Now that is a real show of energy and talent. Also one of the best bands I have ever heard.

We were looking for something fun for our last night in town. We decided to take a chance on this since we both love blue grass....guess what...we were in for a treat. It was the night for Folkmoot USA an international folk festival. The show was fabulous and the venue was just what we wanted. Takes you back in time... More

my husband and I went to the Stompin' Ground to watch our two granddaughters in a clogging competition. The sound system is great, just bring earplugs, in case you are seated next to the huge speakers. We had a blast watching the competitors. However...restrooms and food service needs upgrading, updating. They charged us 10 dollars per head to watch the... More
