Unfortunately you are unable to swim here unless there is another part we didn't visit. Most of the view points are either super high for a great view or the area near the water are gated off for safety. There is even a sign saying it is illegal to go past the barriers. If you are looking for a swimming area that are near/ in falls I would recommend going to looking glass falls or sliding rock. The water was cold when we went but my husband got in anyway. If you do get in I would recommend life jackets especially with kiddos.
