My Husband and I went here to watch the sunset. The hike is steep at some areas. There are many rocks and tree roots so wear good shoes. The view at the top is stunning. Great photo opportunity and just take a seat and relax.

This is a wonderful hike! It seems to me no matter which trail or mountain you go to in the Carolinas, the park rangers do an excellent job maintaining all trails! Thank you for that!

I’m currently having back and hip issues and this short and easy trail was great. There is a gradual elevation so I went a little slower than average. The view at the top is beautiful.

Flat Rock is one of the easiest trails on the BRP. It's not flat but it is very easy to the top. Maybe 20 to 25 minutes. There are also several trails around lakes that are flat. Bass Lake, Trout Lake, and Price Lake. Bass... More
