I am a history and the old courthouse is full of it. They have several exhibits up and in one room they have a huge display of what Lexington might have looked like back in early 1820's when Lexington became a town.

Located in the Old Courthouse in historic Uptown Lexington, the Davidson County Historical Museum contains exhibits of local history. It is definitely worth a visit. The museum is upstairs, but there is an elevator.

Reconstrucyion and redo has recently been completed. Outside the building is impressive for its columns. Inside is simplistic and educational, kids love getting penned up in the holding cell. Worth the hour to tour and learn some history of Davidson county.

This museum has been recently restored on the outside. A beautiful example of early 1900's county court houses. Limited exhibits of slices of life from the past.
