Wilson Creek means different things to different folks. It's a great place to go camping. It's a great place to go fishing, tubing, and kyacking. It is stocked with rainbow and brown trout. It is usually very crowded in summer. The rocky canyons of lower Wilson Creek are a sight to behold. If you are in the area you should... More

Bring the family or go along to soak up nature and all her glory! A bit hidden but GPS will take you to it. In the area of Colletsville, NC, you can see wildlife at it's finest. Great for stock and native trout fishing.

Great place to swim, picnic, or just enjoy the view. It had no rained in a while and the road was very dusty. Parking spaces are limited as well.

What a beautiful place to visit. The water is crystal clear and the rocks are amazing. We had fun skipping rocks on the river and hiking to a waterfall :-)

Great hike for getting into the wilderness with a minimum of effort. One little ridge to climb then you drop into the Harper Creek basin. Round trip 2 hrs. Budget time to hang out on the rocks between the two drops of the falls. There's an ancient huge rope that makes you feel better as you descend down to the... More

What a majestic place to visit. The water is crystal clear and the rocks are amazing. We had fun skipping rocks on the river. I have to say I'm a little disgusted though with all the dirty diapers that were laying everywhere and the trash. There is even graffiti on the rocks going down to the water. Kids have no... More

Wilson Creek area is one o those special places many people have driven nearby but have no clue its there and how beautiful it is. Great trails, waterfalls, and fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and over all sight seeing. Recommended to all to visit such as family, friends, etc.

This is has been preserved for generations to come. You can stop in at the visitor center and learn about the rich history from the logging to the one-time manufacturing company in this area. But don't stop there. Make sure you get a hikers map and check out Harper Creek Falls, Big Lost Cove Cliff or Little Lost Cove Cliffs.... More

Wilson Creek is an awesome place to gravel bike ride, kayak, hike and run. Trout fishing and horseback riding are also available along this awesome water way. Primitive hiking areas and a park service managed camp ground in the area. Sunbathing and playing in the water are great summer activities. Wilson Creek Visitor is also a cool destination with lots... More
